Disney Springs - Dinner then late evening Edison?

We were thinking of heading to Disney Springs this weekend. Haven't been in 15 years so a lot has changed.

I hear the Edison has entertainment later in the evening. We were thinking of grabbing dinner around DS and then hitting the Edison for their live music. Has anyone been to the Edison just for the music? Is it all choreographed dancing or do guests dance also? Have found a lot of reviews (mostly unfavorable) about the Edison food but very little info about the live music/entertainment.

Dinner question, where would you suggest for something interesting (non-burger, etc), possibly even foodie that isn't $50 per person. Could be a bar to eat at, anything.

I had the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup at Edison. They were good and seem to meet your criteria. Didn't stay for the late night entertainment there.

It was very crowded when we went. Couldn’t find a seat. So we left.

Has anyone been to The Edison just for the entertainment? Trying to figure out when we should arrive to be able to find a seat where we can see. Any tips on where we should try to sit would be great, too. We are planning to eat before we arrive at The Edison. Drinks only at The Edison.

My wife and I have been twice - just for appetizers, drinks, and entertainment. We made reservations for 8:45 each time and this worked perfectly. The first time, we requested to be seated on the floor near the stage. This was a great table but was quite loud. The second time, we requested to sit on the second floor along the glass looking down at stage. We definitely preferred this seating. Arriving around 8:45 or 9 pm is perfect timing to get seated, order a drink and appetizer if you would like, before the cabaret show starts around 9:30 pm. We enjoyed both evenings and the food and drinks were great.
