We are planning on going to Disney Springs the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Will the crowds likely be horrible? I realize crowds aren't the same issue as rides but we would prefer not to walk in thick crowds if we don't have to. (We will likely do Disney Springs that day no matter what - but will get there at opening if heavy crowds are likely).

That entire week of Thanksgiving, expect heavy crowds. Disney Springs (And Downtown Disney, when it was originally that) suffers a problem of getting more people on the weekends in my experience, as on top of people here for vacation, you get more locals visiting the area & people just arriving for their vacation doing that the first night.

I'd say expect a busy night

Getting there at opening is a very good idea. It wont be long before the crowd builds up but at least you will have a while.

It's so hard not to call it Downtown Disney. :) We will be gone by night so it's the morning and afternoon crowds that we'll be dealing with.

I can guarantee it will be very busy at Disney Springs that whole weekend.
