DH and I were at DS tonight! Crazy mayhem!! So many people! When we left, police were blocking all entrances. Signs all said at capacity! First place at Disneyworld I haven't felt safe since getting here Tuesday. Everywhere else was fine. Restaurants are very distanced between tables, most lines are safe.

Do you know what time approximately they stopped letting people in

one of the days we were planning on going to ds is a Saturday with 7 pm reservations

wondering how early I have to go to make sure I get in

I'm sure lots of people did not get to their dinners tonight!!! We got there at 5 and got in. Went to Disney store after eating at Homecoming. Left at 7:30.

We have been on three trips since the closure and haven't been at DS after 5pm at all. It is like the wild west there at night compared to the rest of DW.

I noticed it was very busy in the evening when I was there a week ago. Wasn't at capacity and I left around 7pm at the latest. Seemed like a good vibe but very hard to get anything to eat outside the QS places and you had to get to Gideon's early to get in line. Stores weren't very busy.

Oh man... This is worrisome. We get in on Sunday and have a 5pm reservation at Jaleo. 😬 For that weekend there are no dinner reservations on MDE for Saturday or Sunday night.

Wanted your opinions. Friday April 2nd is a DS day for us. We would be there like noon-ish till about 4. Think it will reach capacity? What should I expect?

I’ve been there three times over the last week, including st patty’s day. I think you’ll be fine going in the afternoon. It’s noticeably busier in the evenings

I just want to add that Disney Springs has been on and off crazy since they reopened and not one single outbreak has been traced back there. If you feel unsafe, take enough measures for you to feel safe but remember that it has been proved to be a very safe environment.

Reminder that they track capacity by garage capacity. If there are no more parking spaces they turn on their capacity signs. You can still bus, Uber and walk to DS even if it’s at capacity, you just won’t be able to drive and park there. We’ve personally been during at capacity evenings and were able to rideshare in/out as well as take Disney transportation in/out.

Feeling safe when it’s crowded is another story. Each time we went to our dining reservation then left pretty much immediately.

Thank you for posting - it pretty much solidifies that we will avoid the weekends when we are there next. Mostly, because I always prefer lower crowds ( even pre-covid ).

We were at DS today. Got there around 11:30, signed up for Gideon’s, then saw a movie. By the time we got out & were waiting for our callback, the place was very busy. Saw many people with no masks what so ever (including a woman who sat next to me on the bench & took her mask off to make a phone call) & a lot more not wearing them right. In an hour sitting on a bench waiting for Gideon’s we saw 1 lone security guard. Who of course wasn’t anywhere near the maskless guests. So saw no enforcement, very disappointing. Around 3, I over heard someone say there was an hour & 45 minute wait to get into World of Disney. We didn’t try any of the stores so can’t say if that was accurate.

As far as mask enforcement, DS is the Wild West compared to the resorts and parks. Was there mid-day a few days before Christmas. We left after about 45 min. Went again Feb 1 with smaller crowd levels, and it was much better. I would think these few weeks would be more like Christmas week. Heading there again Easter weekend. Not planning any DS visits for dining or shopping.

Florida does zero contact tracing, so we'd never know. I live here in Orlando and have known multiple people who've gotten sick and no one has ever been contacted by anyone.

We were there as well. We had 10:30 brunch at homecomin then went to world of Disney. They quoted a 20 minute wait but it was more like 10. LEGO quoted 40 minutes and that was 15. We left after that without going to the ornament store or pin store because it was just too crowded and not easy to move around. We’ve got another rest day on Tuesday so we might try again.

Did you try Open Table? I've heard that Big River Grille on the BoardWalk is on there and not on MDE. Not sure about other restaurants.

Did you try the Swan and Dolphin restaurants? I'm not sure if they're on MDE or not.
