I expected prices to be a bit higher for Disney items onsite, but I recently viewed some Disney souvenirs on a website, and they were much higher than I would have thought: A pen was $11, and a t-shirt was $40! And they didn't appear to be especially nice, just the standard. Is this typical of the park? :crazy2:

They must have inflated thier prices quite a bit to make a profit. $40 sounds quite high for a T-shirt. I think T-shirts more in the range of $20-25. I don't remember the prices of them exactly, but I do remember the nice sweatshirt I bought last year cost $48.

You have to remember that if you found them on a site, they are marking them up to pay for their time and overhead. A regular tshirt is going to run you about $25. A fleece pullover or sheatshirt is going to be $45-60. The light spinner/ chaser things that the kids love during fireworks and parades are about $12-15. Not sure about pens- I'm guessing $4-6. My jacket (nylon type/ linned, hip length, (embroidered)big M and Mickey on the back, and on the left chest, zip front) was about $75. Scrapbook kits (paper/ stickers/ die cuts) were about $15. My daughter got a small musical jewlery box with Ariel for $15. My son got a plastic buzz light year cup for $6.

Whew! OK, I feel a little better. Souvenirs are still expensive, but not quite as bad as the website... Thank goodness!
