They are driving me CRAZY!!! I just called to check on 5 gift card orders that I placed in the last week. I have already called twice about the first 2 and once about the second. Apparently they DID ship the first two, although the system says that they haven't on my end. On the other 3, they are saying that they are not sure why they didn't ship, will have to send the email to distribution, blah blah blah.

So I very nicely launch into this whole thing about how angry I am that every time I place a gift card order now, I have to continuously call them to get them to ship it and that it is just not worth my time. After a lengthy explanation of what I have dealt with, I pause. They CM says "I do apologize for that, is there anything else that I can help you with?" So I go off a little more at this point, explaining that I will just stop making purchases online if it is going to be this difficult to get them to ship things to me. On and on I go about how I just want someone to explain to me why this is happening. Again, I pause. And she says......"I do apologize for that, is there anything else that I can help you with?"

ARGH!!!! If I were a less nice person, I just would have hung up on her.
 
I feel your pain!! I ordered 3 $250 gift cards which I have pending credit on through SR and they were holding the amount out of my bank balance but no shipment. I called and they said that my bank would not participate in the address verification process?!?!? WHAT?? I use this same card everytime I purchase from them and there has never been a problem. I called my bank and they said no problem, they show the order on hold but there is nothing the bank needs to do!??!? WHAT!?!?! I called Disney back and they said I would have to give them a different card - not while you are holding my $750 hostage!! So then I receive an email and a letter saying that my card was declined and I needed to give a new card!?!? WHAT?!?!? Declined?!!? never!! I checked my bank balance and the $750 is no longer pending or showing at all so I called back to give a new card. The CM takes the order number, puts me on hold AFTER I tell her I need to give a new card number. Then she comes back and says "I have sent an email to our shipping department, you can check the status on line now" WHAT?!?!?! At this point I am yelling - the status is you are going to cancel my order if you don't take my new credit card number!! She says OH, hold one minute. Then she takes the number - but I still don't show anything on my status page. I don't know if I will get them or not!! I thought I would try to call back in the morning. :confused3
 
I would love to be able to get some gift cards before the promo ends, but I am so afraid of giving Disney Shopping my credit card info.

I've heard so many bad stories about these gift cards. I don't have time to get the runaround about why they took my money, didn't issue my gift cards, having to contact my bank, etc.

Has anyone actually purchased Disney gift cards with no problem?

Also, what happens if they are lost in the mail? I know many are purchasing large quantities. The last time I ordered a gift card it came in a plain old envelope with no tracking information.

I think it is just ridiculous that Disney Shopping is treating their customers this way. My heart truly goes out to anyone who is having a difficult time dealing with them. :hug:

Now that my own large order has finally been processed through DisneyShopping, I'm cool. I have no problem with waiting for my Disney GCs from both SR and QR. I know they'll eventually work it all out.

OH that had to be so frustrating! Like talking to a brick wall and getting no place fast! Yep I would have just hung up instead of talking to that pleasant robot! sheese....

Tricia thank you for hanging in there for us with Disney! You know how much we really love those gift cards! Your a peach!
 
In December I placed several orders for $25 each with no problem. With the SR promotion I ordered 3 separate gift cards & they all arrived, the last 2 on Friday. They were for $100, $150 & $25.

I really can't believe they don't have better customer service than this. I've been following these threads & it is absolutely crazy what they are doing.
 
I just placed and recieved an order through SR for a 125.00 GC, and had no problems.I think that your account starts to get flagged if you buy large quantities of GC or if they are for a lot of $$.
 
I ordered a $500 GC a few weeks back and had no problems. I would love to get more but it doesn't seem worth it at this point.

I think you hit the nail on the head. And once you get flagged, it is hard to get "unflagged." LOL!!

Worst case scenario, I buy the cards at the local Dis store and send them out myself. It just means no special cashout offers for awhile. But I did try to place one last big order today to be shipped only to me so that I would have some $50 cards to still do a promo with.

Tricia you've got more patience than a saint. Thanks for all your hard work. Now you've got to extract all those cash back rewards from them. I've ordered $3000 in GC the past 10 days. I have $1000 in hand and the others have shipped. I'm keeping all the emails and copies though until I use them to pay off my trip. Now I'm paranoid that they may not have the right amount on them. DisneyShopping isn't doing to well so who knows if they've got that part right.

Before I placed the order I called Chase (Disney Visa) to let them know I would be ordering $2500 in giftcards on line that day. They noted it on my account and said it was good that I let them know especially with a giftcard purchase. I recieved all my orders without a problem. I'm not sure if calling the credit card company ahead of time helped at all since the problem seems to be on Disney's end. I'm sorry they have been giving people such a hard time. :sad2:

But I invite you to jump up and down with me... :yay: I just checked the status of my $750 gift card order and it shows "SHIPPED"!!! I was really getting worried with everyone's bad experiences so am VERY relieved!

Now... my SR credits are not showing as pending yet, and they usually always post within a day. I know I'm being impatient but again, I am very anxious for them to show up.
 
I just found out about QR two days ago. I placed my order on my debit card for my Disney acct. excited that I would be getting 10% back on my $2000 trip. So Sunday I order $500 GC and make sure it shows up on QR. It does so I order 2 more $500 GCs on Monday. No shipping confirmation today for either so I email disneyshopping. Immediately I get an email that says the address can't be verified by my bank. I call and the CM says I can put it on another card. Nope--not until I make sure there's not a hold on the first one and the bank is closed. I have used this card before and not had a problem--so what gives? Also- WHY didn't they email me when they found out there was a problem instead of waiting until I inquired???? So--on QR, does the shipping confirmation or order confirm have to be dated before March 1? In other words, since I ordered before the deadline, will I get the 10% back if I don't have ship confirm until later? The nature of this problem makes me feel like "they" don't want to honor the reward. :headache: No- I didn't go over the daily limit on the debit card. It has a higher limit because the acct. was once a special business acct.

Hi,
Once they ship it you are still getting 10% from QR since you placed the order before 3/1. Just make sure that they don't cancel the order and ask you to place a new one again since after 3/1 the rate goes back to 4.1%.
