Does anyone know when the semi-annual pin sale usually takes place?

Now. But don't look for any great bargains. The only good deal was the Narnia set at 50 per cent off, but that one charges shipping which pretty much kills the deal. Oh well...

They used to have great deals and cheap pins, now they have high prices on most pins, even this sale the prices are not great at all.

The 50% off "sale" just started today. With the Free Pin Shipping on Mondays, the Narnia set is the only good deal Disneyshopping has right now. Of course, what seems to happen with me on these sales is that the prices go down even more starting the day after they start(Tuesday)...but then the buyer has to pay shipping and that negates most of the savings.

And EVERY SINGLE ONE of the LE1000 STAR pins are showing up as UNAVAILABLE...but you don't see that until you try to buy them.

star pins and clapboard are available now. I called Disney as I was up at 1:30am when they upload all the new pins and told them they forgot to make them available opps, 15 minutes later now you can buy them.

Actually, the free shipping is only good for individual pins, not for SETS. Check for shipping charges if you buy pins on a Monday. (Oh & there are free shipping codes, good if you buy over a certain amount.)

HTH!

I've got a question though. Are the pins on Disney Shopping the same as the ones from the parks? Do they have the Pin Trading logo on the back? I've seen a few that I remember but after looking at hundreds of pins while we ere there and then trying to research at home, some of them are just blending together.

TIA

I have bought a lot of these pins and the CM's usually rave about them because they are not junk like a lot of people give them.
I usually wait for a sale, but there haven't been any good deals lately.
I bought a bunch of the Christmas sets they had before Christmas, and traded them over Christmas week, and like I said the CM's loved them.

Thanks! I've been a bit leary of buying them since I've heard conflicting things about trading Disney store pins with CMs. I know this sale isn't as big a discount but there are some neat pins available. I would buy them for my personal collection; DH gets me pin lots from eBay so I sort through them looking for keepers and traders and let the kids have what I don't want. They don't know it but each of them has a full lanyard of pins that I've set aside for them to trade when we go next year.

No, the pins on Disney Shopping are only available on-line, not at the parks. Conversely, those at the parks are normally not available on-line. (there have been some exceptions)

I don't recall the pin trading logo on the back of pins I've bought from Disney Shopping.

Also, mousehouselover, Disney Store pins are different from Disney Shopping pins. All pins mentioned in this post are equally tradeable. The best place to research your pins, is pinpics.com.

The Disney Shopping pins don't have the pin trading logo on them, they just say Disney catalog. This is how I get my traders. For the most part CM's like getting them as they are something different from all the "cuties". I do have to agree with everyone that this is not much of a sale but I have bought a few that I wanted for my own collection.
