omg where have I been?!!! I am hopping onto this post and now following the disney stock alerts on twitter! thank you!! just returned from wdw and was looking forward to shopping there personally as that's part of the fun and didn't get anything barely!!! i wanted the 50th mug, blanket, tshirt, omg so much,....and none of it was there. i was so unprepared!!! And separate topic but i purchased a disney cats dishtowel/handtowel and washed it last night getting off the plane and i had no idea a handtowel would say hand wash only?!!! well it shrunk and got majorly wrinkled and looks terrible. i didn't read washing instructions because it was a hand towel/dishtowel. why would that be hand wash only?!!! oy....

A hand wash only hand towel? That's all kinds of crazy.

ETA: I'd contact Disney and ask for a replacement or refund. I don't think it's reasonable to expect people to anticipate this.

Welcome! FYI- The 50th anniversary blanket does occasionally come back in stock but at this time it is not one of the Twitter alerts.
Same thing is happening with Rebecca Hook Mickey Minnie earrings, RHook castle earrings and 50th pin and patch, no alert on Twitter feed but occasionally being restocked. Possibly someone just needs to submit an alert request
I too returned from WDW without much of the merchandise I was hoping to find. Fingers crossed for better luck next trip.

Now I need to Google the laundry symbols on my Halloween Mickey kitchen towel set

We're going in January and I'm buying the things I really want ahead of time. As much as I'd love to shop in person on our trip, I figure it's better to make sure I have the things I want. Between supply chain issues and resellers, I expect my odds of finding what I want pretty slim.

I actually did all right on my recent trip because a lot of the great 50th merch that I saw on this very thread was sold out. I got surprisingly litle in that regard, though I did get the "I Need Space" t-shirt at D-Style!

I think back to how much fun it was to walk into shops at DLR during their 60th anniversary and find so many choices. So many surprises and plenty of quantity. I sure wanted that for our 50th WDW trip, but it doesn't seem likely.

There was definitely some nice stuff around, but a lot of it had sold out. They were restocking though as we went to World of Disney on our arrival day and our departure day two days later and they had different things and stuff we hadn't seen before, like the Partners Statue ornament. A lot of items were limited to 2 per customer too. There was a shirt I had wanted that I saw people wearing, but it just was not for sale anywhere. We were there on the 16th to 19th so I think a lot of the initial shipments sold out but hadn't been restocked. They should be getting more though at some point.
