Disney Shipping To Canada Reduced

You may already know this - I received an e-mail that shipping to Canada from the online Disney Store is reduced 50% and that it is the start of magical surprises...I'm in shock! I thought this would never change, but I guess the times are dictating it...how 'bout a Disney Visa for Canadians? Now that would really shock me!!!

Do you know what the original shipping rates are? I received that e-mail as well, and when I clicked on the "read more" button to find out more about the 50% off shipping, it just directed me to the disney shopping website - I couldn't see anywhere where it explained what the rates are. I had heard before that the shipping rates were outrageous so just trying to figure out if the 50% makes it bearable.

In the past, rates started around the $35US mark, and when up - most I ever paid on a massive shipment was $49US. I'm looking forward to filling up a cart this morning, and seeing what the new costs are like

ETA: Just put a Queen size Duvet Cover into my basket. Last week, it was going to cost $41 to ship. This morning it is showing $22.95 for the shipping/handling. So, to me this is MUCH improved. Would still like it to be lower, but heck - any deal is better than none. Guess someone really did listen to all the complaints

It's about time! It's still expensive compared to LLBean, Lands End, Gymboree etc. but at least it's not as outrageous as before.

I wonder if it's a temporary promo or new price. Anybody know?

I tested out the new reduced shipping cost by adding an $8 pin to my cart... the minimum shipping cost to Canada is still $19.95. Better than before, but too much still. It might be worth it if you're buying alot of items, but they're still charging too much!

I think I got the same email from Disney shopping but deleted it without reading since I never buy from them because of the high shipping cost.

Maybe it's time to check out that site again?

Thanks! I'm heading to the site now! There have been so many things that I have wanted to order but didn't because the shipping was ridiculous. I was planning on waiting until just before our Disney trip & Having it shipped to our resort, but now I don't have to wait.

but it is still too much and then usually I still have to pay duty or something on top of that!!

Gymboree is the same way! I once ordered some clothes from there and when I went to pick it up they told me I had to pay COD of $65!!!

I found it odd that it was an email directed to and sent only to Canadians (I assume) and they had an advertisement about further discounts for Disney Visa holders in the bottom of the message.... I really got my hopes up too

So the shipping is down. Now if customs would just not nail us with duty charges it might be worth it!!!
