Just curious for all of you that are "lucky" enough to return often...are there any rituals that you just have to do when you make your trip? Like, you have to have a Micky Bar during the Parade or you have to stay on a certain schedule or reside in one resort only. Seems I see this in a lot of post where there are some deep rooted traditions embedded in the Disney experience.

We have been 5 times in the last 2 years and one thing has been done on EVERY trip...and one I started a couple trips ago that I have decided is a must-do. The first one is hot dogs from Casey's Corner! We find a spot to sit on Main Street to watch the parade and fireworks. I sit and people watch while DH goes to Casey's to get the food. We eat while we wait and enjoy just being there. One of my favorite things. The new one, is while waiting for Illuminations....We watch from between Norway and Mexico and I "discovered" the Norway bakery Kringla....oooohhhh is it yummy. So now I get a goodie each time we go there...first time was a Cloudberry Horn and this time it was the pastry the bakery is named for - Kringla. Oh it's soooo good. Those are our only real traditions so far. :earsboy:

We have a few: the kids always unpack and then make a trek to the food court to get some pizza (we stay at the ASmo).
We go to MK first and walk through the railroad tunnel together, taking time to say "we're here"!
First lunch at MGM is always the SCI FI. First attraction is always ToT in MGM.
I like to think the entire trip is a ritual--it certainly is a vacation that our entire family enjoys and uses to bring us together in a unique way. I know my two kids (DS -17 and DD -15) will continue on the WDW traditions with their families because of it. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

We always do the Character Breakfast at Crystal Palace. :wave2:

We always hold hands as a family as we pass under Spaceship Earth the first time we enter Epcot. We give a hand squeeze to each other and I tell the kids to remember our happy vacations together. I pray a prayer of thanksgiving that we are able to return. I figure that Spaceship Earth will be there for a very long time and maybe around if the kids are fortunate to have their own kids to bring to WDW. Hopefully, Grandma and Grandpap will be around then too.

That's so sweet, rumplemom!

We have only been as a family once, but have decided that we'll always do MK on our first day. :wizard:

I love all of them--I will find my own I am sure! So far I think I will decide to do MK on day 1.

We always count down from 10 when we see the Walt Disney World Entrance ending on zero as we pass thru hooping and hollering.

DH make us all laugh when we take our first monorail ride because he LOVES the spanish version of "Por favor mantengen se allejandro de las puertas" He then repeats it in his announcers voice for the next 30-40 minutes!! (Thanks to my precious boards I found out about the monorail magnet that plays the recording. I surprised him with it at our diner at San Angel Inn (another tradition) and he was ecstatic!!)

We always buy an ornament to remember our trip.

Me - I always have a Strawberry Minnie Bar -YUM!!\

DH- Epcot tour of beer.

I give out dimes to those who first spot a hidden Mickey. This year we are graduating to Quarters due to inflation.

The first park we go to on the trip is always the MK, and we take the ferry to build suspense.

We always do the Character Lunch at Crystal Palace. We alway get a egg roll at MK and turkey leg at Epcot. Years ago about 1980's we used to go to the cookie shop to "Nestle" he was a squirrel, He was Named that by the Cast Members because every morning he would go to the Toll house Cookie place to get his cookie.
