Disney Rewards VISA

I just received an offer for a Disney Rewards VISA with no annual fee. I really don't need another credit card but it states that I'll get 200 Disney Rewards that can be redeemed for a $200 Disney Gift Card after the first use of the card. This sounds too good to be true. (1) Has anyone else done this...and are there any catches. (2) I saw last year there were special "room only" discounts for card holders. Does anyone know if these discounts are better than those for the general public or annual passholders?

There are lots and lots of threads on this - it is, apparently, legit. I have not received one but check the budget board. I believe that there is quite some discussion on this.

It's legit, a friends of mine got the same offer a few weeks ago.

I've had a Disney Visa for almost two years now. I have to say I've never had a problem with them, use the card for everything (paying it in full each month) and have a good amount of Disney $$ ready to use on our trip this fall.

I have had my Disney Visa for years and have used it for all our trips the past 6 years. Everytime we have gone to Disney we have gotten a great "deal" because we used the Card (free dining, reduced room rates etc).

If you charge your Disney Vaca on the card it is also on there for 6 months with no finance charges. We use our card for everything (food, gas, shopping etc) and always rack up hundreds of dollars in Disney Dollars that we use as our spending money when we go to Disney.

You even get special deals every once in a while where if you use the card for certain things you get 5 times the reward dollars or the most recent was setting up my cable bill to be paid directly from my Disney card and they gave us a $50 bonus of disney dollars.

We use it for everything instead of cash and then pay it at the end of the month...it has helped us out a lot...one card we really "use" the rewards from.

Hope that helps some! ;)

I'm a cardholder and my husband got the $200 offer back in January. He signed up, used his card one time and had the 200 points on his card which we are using for our last minute trip in May. I also use my card in place of my debit so I can accumulate as many disney dollars as possible and just pay the balance off each month.

Good to know about the bonus pts. offers. We have a chase card, but gave it a go anyway, and signed up. Our card arrived today. We typically use our chase for everything and pay it off each month (coverting our points to giftcards for local restaurants and clothing, etc). We'll keep our regular chase, but are going to put it away until after our disney trip and use the disney card for now, to rack up points for the trip instead. I love points :thumbsup2
