Disney Rewards Visa to buy Disney gift card? And when is the credit applied?

I go the DRV for the $200 gc. I need to spend $500 over the first 3months and there is a $49 annual fee.
The first statement shows the annual fee and I've put about $300 in charges so far (first month).

Do you receive the $200 credit on your statement as soon as you charge $500 to the account?

Can I purchase a gift card in the store for say, $150 that would apply to the necessary $500?

According to my old statement, I met the spend qualification on 9/20 and the credit posted on 9/23, so three days.

ETA: For your other question, I would think so. It doesn't break down what you purchase, just where you purchase. You'd earn 2% back too I think!

Make sure to spend $500, the annual fee does not count towards your spending requirements.

Thank you. I know the statement credit is the same amount of $$ but I just love having the physical gift card.
