Disney Rewards....shipboard credit?

Have any of you redeemed your Disney Visa Rewards for Shipboard Credit on your cruise? I just noticed they have changed their rewards from certificates to a plastic reusable card. I would love to hear from anyone who has already redeemed theirs? Do we take the card to Guest Services on the ship when we board? THANKS!!!

Wow, I wish I had mine in that card style. I have $320 worth of the big certificates and they are bulky -- they may look cute, but they don't fit well in my wallet, purse or the document folder.

As soon as I get onboard (5 days!) I'm going to put them down as a shipboard credit and get rid of them. I just love this 'free' money.

How long did it take for your tickets to arrive? $320.00 is great!!

It didn't take very long -- I'm guessing about 10 days or so. I ordered them via the First USA website and it showed the date they would ship. Here is the link . . . .

Havent received the card yet but was told Disney reward dollars are now put on a card. Called yesterday and was told to expect it by the 24th which is 18days after ordering. Was told I could call after my next statement and have more $ rolled over onto the card.
I called the 800 # on back of the card and spoke w/a live person.
Not sure how they work on the cruise but was told the $ could be used at either Disney Store, WDW or the cruise - dont need to pick before we order the card.
Maybe we take the card to guest services and they take off only what we specifically ask them to take?

I just received a letter in the mail yesterday saying they are now using the plastic gift card to put your reward dollars on. It can be used many places including DCL cruiseline. They use 3 simple steps. Disney Dream Reward Dollars aka DDRD.

#1 Earn DDRD by making purchases on your Disney Visa Card

#2 Transfer DDRD to your Disney Rewards Card from your program rewards balance by logging onto www.BankOne.com/Disney or calling 1-800-436-7999.

#3 Redeem your DDRD at any of the participating Disney locations by presenting your DDRD.

Each time you use your DDRD card the amount will be deducted from the value of the card. Each time you redeem you may specify how many DDRD you would like to use from the card. You can also combine DDRD with other types of payment.

To order a DDRD card you must have at least $20 in DDRD posted to your reward program balance and then transfer at least that amount to the card.

Here's a silly question. I just received my DDRD certificates. They were beautifully done I almost wanted to keep one as a souvenier. Since they are doing away with the certificates will the certificates now be a collectors item?
