Disney rewards question?

I thought I read somewhere that you can redeem your rewards point while at the park? Is this true and if so where can it be done at? Do you have to have a minimum of a certain amount of points? If so how many points is it?

Thanks so much!! Going the beginning of March and don't think the gift card would have enough time to get here by then!!

Yes, you can use your Disney Dream Reward Dollars (DDRDs) at the parks. You can visit disneyrewards.com, and it will tell you the locations where you can redeem the DDRDs. You can use them at select dining and merchandise locations in the parks.

If you don't have a Disney Rewards redemption card yet, you have to have at least 20 DDRDs before you transfer them to a rewards card. Once you have that card, though, you have to have a minimum of 10 points in order to transfer more points onto a rewards card.

According to the website, you'll want to order your rewards card at least 3 weeks before your vacation, so you might still have time to order one.

You will need a DDRD card, which you can pick up at the parks if you show your Disney Visa and ID. At DL its Guest Services on Main Street, not sure where it is at WDW, but I think there's a few locations. Once you have your card issued you can call Chase and have them transfer the points over, anything above $20, as PP mentioned. We did this once when our previous card expired _on_ our trip since we did a Dec-Jan trip that year.

I did it last year in the Magic Kingdom at Guest Services. If I remember correctly they issued the rewards card and then had us get on a phone with Chase to transfer the points. You can do it at the Guest services in all four parks as well as Downtown Disney (I think that location is by the sports clothing store but I'm not positive)
