Disney Rewards Card & DL Hotels

Hi all -

Planning a quick solo trip to coincide w/ a work function in October!!

I have a large sum of disney rewards points (from the Disney Visa) that i haven't yet transferred to a card but would like to use. My question is whether I can use the rewards card at a good neighbor hotel? If I book directly thru the hotel? OR If I book a package on the disney site?? It's cheaper to book directly through the hotel and then buy tickets from Disney using rewards $$ but I'd really like to be able to use those rewards points for the hotel.

I looked into staying on-site and it is quite a bit more expensive and I love HoJo's anyway...

I'm not sure you can even use them through the Disney site for a non-Disney hotel, but a non-Disney hotel would not take them. Its purely a Disney deal. Try calling the Disney VISA to confirm whether they can be used for a Good Neighbor thru the Disney website.

You also might look at those great Expedia rates people are getting for Disney hotels in October.

No, these are not accepted at non Disney hotels. Sorry.

You can book a Walt Disney Travel Company package with a stay at a Good Neighbor Hotel and pay for the package with your DDRDs... but you cannot pay with your DDRDs at a Good Neighbor if you booked through them without a Walt Disney Travel Company package. Good Neighbor Hotels are NOT Disney-owned.
