Disney Reward Dollars

I have a Bank One Disney Visa card & thought I was earning Disney
Dollars but I'm earning Disney Rewards Dream Dollars. Has anyone
tried to use these yet at WDW or does anyone know where you can
use them? They won't give you any definate answer as to who accepts
them. I would like to know restarants mainly since my plan was to use
them to reduce my food budget.

I can't speak for food purchases, but I recently cashed out my reward dollars and used them to make purchases
at Downtown Disney. They were excepted same as
cash.

I've used them to purchase merchandise in the parks as well as drinks at food service carts, so i would guess they are pretty widely accepted.

If you stay in a Disney resort, you can simply have them apply the rewards dollars to your account when you check-in (and charge against them with your room key). We just did this and it worked great.

All the sit down and counter service restaurants in the parks should take them. The only food locations that won't take them are the little carts. But, of course, you should ask at the restaurant first, just to be sure - that way you won't get stuck, if they don't take them for some weird reason.

I've used mine at food places (Roaring Forks at Whispering Canyon).... and no problem whatsoever.

Can you use them at the World of Disney in Downtown Disney?

2 weekends ago I used some to pay for my 2nd night at All Star Sports and then for lunch at Blizzard Beach. No problem at all except that the clerk @ BB was unfamilure with how to enter them into the register but the manager trained already.

Is there a difference between Disney Dollars and Disney Rewards Dream Dollars ? I'm considering getting the Disney Visa and was wondering if there are different types? Thanks.

I difference, as far as I know, is Disney Dollars can be purchased at Disney Stores and Reward Dollars are earned by charging purchases to the Disney Visa.

Disney dollars can be turned back in for cash. Disney reward dollars cannot. Also, Disney dollars don't expire. Disney reward dollars do expire. I believe you have 5 years from when they are earned. Whether that is to cash them in, or when they have to be used by, I'm not sure.

However, I still like it. I started using the card this past April and have over $200 worth of rewards. I hope to be at $400 when we take our trip in August 2004.
