does anyone have any info on Saratoga Springs vs. Old key west. Which one is less time on the transportation service to the parks. Also is there a lot of walking within each resort.
Has anybody been to both? Is one nicer than the other?

been to both.

walking - well if you want the main pool at OKW - ask for near the HH

for SSR - ask to be hear Grandstand or springs. here is a map for it.

they are both big. like the moderate resorts - CSR, POR and CBR.

but they are more deluxe - bigger rooms, queen beds instead of double.
both have kitchennett in the studio and full kitchens in the 1-bedroom and up.

getting back and forth to the parks - OKW is a little closer - but not alot. both OKW and SSR have multiply stops before the bus leaves to go to the park.

(which I appreciate - means don't have to walk a half mile to get a bus) but some people want only one bus stop (hope this NEVER happens)

SSR definitely has nicer stuff in their villa - but OKW is more like home (okay at least to me).

I've never stayed at SSR but we did visit to check it out. But we love, love, love OKW. It is just so pretty with all the gingerbread work on the buildings and the rooms are beautiful. A very beachy feel. We love the laid back atmostphere and the steel drum music that they play all around the HH just puts you in a good mood. It's what I think of when I go to florida. I have been to the Adirondacs many times on vaction. We live in southern NH so its not a bad drive to upstate NY. I want a different feel when I go to FL. It really depends on what you are looking for. I think SSR the the furthest out from the parks but don't quote me on that one. Don't forget to have fun no matter which one you choose.
