Disney resorts will shutdown March 20th!

The reality has finally set in that our April trip most likely won't happen. I know everything going on with all the closures is for the best but it still sucks. I did however make backup plans. I booked a trip for May, June and July just to secure a room. Now to start over on dining and FP+ just incase they are open for one of the reservations. Thanks rteetz for keeping us up to date!

I work in a retail store that gets 1,000 customers per day. Everyone touching shopping carts and money. We’re staying open. Ironically, schools are closed so lots of kids and high-schoolers want extra hours.

Finally. If people don't heed the warnings to stay home this virus will just spread more and more. Stay home people it's not the end of the world. If the people of other countries can do it so can we. It takes sacrifice (not something this entitled country know about) to keep everyone safe.

When it's a choice of losing your job or going out.. many have to go out. If your able to stay home sure. But the world's not perfect people need money and taking 2 weeks off would get most people fired.

A lot of people still have to go to work. They don't have any choice.

What if you can't get your flight changed? Just go live at the airport?
There are a lot of hotels near or fairly near MCO.
I'd put Travelocity and or Expedia apps on my phone and then work hard to find a reservation.
Living at the airport would only be if there were zero other options.

If I was heading back to somewhere in the US, I would rent a car and start driving home. I would not want to set foot on an airplane or be in close proximity to airport crowds unless absolutely necessary.

Obviously not a choice if traveling internationally, but we would drive home.

This is what we did when it Hurricane Irma’s path became clear during our WDW visit in 2017. Our flight home was cancelled just a couple days into our trip. We rented a car with car seats and drove the 20+ hours home. I think it took about 24 hours. We had no idea when flights would resume and could not get an earlier flight.

If anyone finds themselves trapped, try the WDW Swan...as of this moment they are open with no immediate plans to close. Stay safe...🦠♥️🌎
