Not sure which forum to ask this under, but how do foreigners (say, from South Korea) pay for Disney World vacations? MIL is trying to pay for a reservation at Disney World this summer, but CM said they couldn't accept her card, because they couldn't identify it as a Visa/Mastercard/Discover/Amex (logo on the card says "Union Pay"), and it is associated with a Korean address, which the system wouldn't recognize. The CM's suggestion was to purchase Disney gift cards at a store, and then use those to pay for the reservation. Normally not a problem, we use Disney gift cards all the time. But I'm told MIL does not have access to Disney gift cards in Seoul, so what options are there? How do others from outside the US pay for their trips?

I’m from New Zealand and had no problem booking and paying, but I have a VISA. Can she apply for another credit card and just use it to pay for the trip and cancel it after she gets back home?
