Greetings,

I noticed that it is possible to reserve 2 bedroom villas through the Disney website but the OKW Grand Villa (which is what I am looking for) is not. Is this true? I thought all the villas were for DVC members? Would it be less risky to just get the 2 bedroom villa through Disney instead of trying for the Grand Villa from DVC member?:confused::confused:

Thanks

The Grand Villas are not often available for cash stays through Disney since they are usually reserved by owners at the resort and other DVC members.

The availability of 2BR villas (and 1BRs and Studios) is due to the inventory at DVC resorts available to DRC for cash reservations. This inventory comes from points used by DVC members for other reservation options and from a few other sources included in the system.

It is possible to get a Grand Villa rental from a member, but I'd suggest starting early (reservations may be made 11 months in advance) to have the best opportunity for success.

Good luck! :)

Many harder to get room types are not available though CRO including certain views like BW view at BWV.

There certainly are advantages to getting a DVC reservation from a member vs. Disney, and most often, it comes down to saving money and getting hard to get villas, like the Grand Villas.

HOwever, when you go through Disney, the cancellation policies are more generous (packages cancelled up to 45 days in advance receive a full refund of deposit less travel insurance).

Plus, you do get daily mousekeeping reserve direct through Disney which you don't when you rent from a DVC member. There are other differences and you might want to read through the Rent/Trade board information to find out what they are. This way, you will know what works best for you.

Good luck!!!
