Disney refund

I paid for our hotel stay in full about a month ago. Then the codes came out and I used a code and saved about $80. Yesterday I reveived a confirmation letter saying that room total is $629 total paid is $696. I still have not received a credit to my credit card. I used the codes the day they came out, so it has been about two weeks ago. Please tell me how this works. Will I get this money in DD when I check in or have the money to use if I want to charge items to my room.

Last year they credited my visa, it took about 4 weeks maybe a little more.
But my trip was a few months away at the time.
I am sure that they would not give you Disney Dollars.

We called and asked them not to refund the card just yet, but to keep it as a credit towards room charges. I really liked having part of the extras paid for up front. This was in 2000, so I do not know if they will still do this.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago and had to specifically ask them to credit my card. The CM asked if I would rather have the balance left as a credit and I just said I'd be happier with a credit to my card. She said it would take 1 to 2 billing cycles to appear and that was fine with me, however it has already appeared on my statement.

We switched one time because I got a cheaper rate at the Ocala Welcome center. The left the credit on our room and we just made sure it was credited towards our charges. I remember standing at the front desk quite a while when we were checking out to make sure it was done correctly.
On another occasion, I took some students and we went home early because of illness. Disney gave me cash back for those rooms. We were already there though...

On the same trip we had passes for the MK for the night...what are those called?...We couldn't use them so I gave them to some nice looking teens on the bus. It's fun to spread the magic.

I'd give them a call. I have had them credit my charge card a few times, and the credit always showed up within a couple of days (I check my credit card account online). I think that if they had credited your card, the confirmation wouldn't be showing 696.00 paid. ~~

We had extra money on our ressie last year because we arrived a night later than planned-I called Disney a couple of weeks before to let them know-they just left it on our account and we had an overage. We used the money for food, etc. We still had to give a credit card at check in but we knew we would come out ahead and that we had one night's rate to spend. The CM's checking in don't necessarily know if you are over-everything is the same-still give them a cc and you'll just have less go on your cc at the end.

This is only applicable if you don't have it refunded to your cc by CRO.
