disney recorded wedding videos??

Hi everyone! We are planning a December wedding at the WP and will be purchasing the videography package. Anyone know how long it takes to get the video back? We are having an AHR afterward and definitely want the video to play during the party!

i don't have experience with the DFTW produced weddings, but i will give you a tidbit from my own experience - when is your AHR planned? whats the time difference? i ask because we got our video waaaayyyyyy later than expected, and i will admit my *hope* was i would have it in like 3 weeks or something nutty!! we fell outside the window promised to us, but in reality, even the earliest time is probably being a bit too hopeful in terms of planning a party where you want that to be like a main attraction.

so i would consider the promised by date or window against when you want to have it - 'cause if you are doing something more organized then like something at home (where you could conceivably change a date if needed) i would plan on it being LATE rather than hoping for it early and being disappointed.

My Daughter used Disney Videography and received her video about 2 months after the wedding. We were very pleased with the results.

Thanks for the feedback! I think we are just going to take our camcorder and set it on a tripod somewhere out of the way. It will be at a weird angle I'm sure but takes good enough video that it should satiate people until we are able to get the edited version! We want to have the reception 1-2 weeks after we get back so I think it will be an okay option.
