12/2-12/10 will be my 8th trip the "World" and I have never gone to Disney Quest. I would like to go on this trip. I know you need admission to get in just like any other park but once you're in, do you have to pay to play any of the games like you would in a regular arcade. Do you have to put money or tokens in the machines in order to play?

I don't know the answer to this question, but would love to get the same info. My 12 yo ds is dying to go to Disney Quest! I'm a little bit worried since I saw on their website that they don't allow strollers inside, and we'll have our 9 month old dd with us on this trip.

Once you get in you will not need any tokens etc, you will be able to do whatever you want. Some of the more popular things will usually have a line and hopefully not too long.

I am not sure about strollers..

My kids love Disney Quest and we always make an effort to go there. Since we have PAP's it is included with our passes.

Do they have things there for younger kids? I'm going with my niece in January and she's only 4. It's included in our tickets, but I just don't know if it's something that will be worth our while.

I don't think there is much for a 4 year old. I took my DS (8, visually impaired with a bit of delay in motor skills) there and although he wanted to try everything, there wasn't really any that he could really DO.

As noted on http://www.wdwinfo.com/downtown/disneyquest/dquestmain.htm, there is a section with prizes for which you must purchase a game card. I knew this going in last month, but then realized on the way out that we never played those games. So, I can't help you with exactly what or where those games are.

I did note that at least one of the games had an extra slot. Perhaps if you want to play the game for prizes, you must insert the card. Anyone?

There is section (4th floor?) just for smaller kids. I would guess it would be worth 2-4 hours of fun for a 4 year old.

i tried disney quest for the first time earlier this month. there were some games you had to pay for and honestly, we couldn't figure out how to do that. some of them seemed to be running for free. they're in an area near a booth for prize redemption if you win tickets, but the booth was not open when we went.

i know you didn't ask for opinions of the place, but i can't help mentioning that i will never go back. it's really confusing in there and my fiance and i felt totally sick after the virtual reality. it took us a few hours to recover. (we are fine on all the rides in the parks.) building and riding a roller coaster was really cool though. i hope you enjoy it more than we did!!

There is an area of pay games that you get tickets and trade for prizes .You buy a card with points amount and play away.CM at the prize counter has the cards .

This is just a very small area of DQ.and then you can do other things that result in a purchase Funny photo thing ,make a music CD,design a creature thing .

With this being said you can just pay admission and never put out another cent and never do everything that is there to offer.

They also have a nice food area with seating.
This is also DD12 fav and with buying into SSR this year I got us some PAP's for X-Mas as well .

The Score Zone is also on free-play now. No more tickets or prizes! Everything inside is on free-play.

My DH and DSs 8, 5 & 5 had a blast. Dear ole mom here was sick as a dog--I don't do well with simulators and virtual reality things. But I was impressed with all they had, and I was thrilled the rest of my family had a great time. Now the Cheesecake Factory Express agreed quite well with me!! Have fun!

Disney Quest is one of my favorite parts of going to WDW, It's very cool to try the virtual reality games, and also Virtual Space Mountain (although it always gave me this weird headache for a second when it goes upsidown, but you can make your ride so that it doesn't go upsidown at all if you'd like) But basically, I'd highly suggest it to anyone, the Animation Workshop is especially fun (for all ages :-) )

In regards to strollers, I do remember seeing a few "carriers" being carried around by some parents with very small babies. Other than that I think that due to it being such an enclosed space and limited occupancy they figure if you are in a stroller and cannot play or just sitting which is why you cannot just sit due to lack of seating then you will leave. My DS loves DisneyQuest where I can only take it for about an hour unless I can get a seat and a computer to go on the internet up in the cafe which can be very difficult to do because alot of other parents have the same idea and do not want to give up those spots. :earboy2:

Yeah, due to the limited space inside, they do not allow strollers in the building. It's both due to saftey reasons, and capacity reasons. The more strollers inside the building, thel less people they could let in. Plus, with some of the areas being somewhat narrow, it would be hard to navigate a stroller in there around people.

My 11yo son loved it. He and my DH especially enjoyed creating and riding in your own roller coaster and the Human pinball game. Also did the virtual rafting, the laser saber thing and the alien planet thing, create a toy and the bumper car/shooting thing. The only "main" thing we didn't do was the Pirates ride because that wa the only line that was too long. Also many, many arcade type games to play. Spent 1-2 hours each on 2 afternoons that were kind of cool and rainy. I thought it would be mobbed, but it really was not bad. We used a "minor" visit off the MYW passes, if you are going to spend 30-some dollars to get in , I would make sure you have 4-5 hours to spend there so you can do everything and get your money's worth.

Im 32, and my husband and I LOVE quest. It's something different to do.

You CAN get sick from doing too many virtual rides/rollercoasters but you can do that at Epcot too.

I would highly recommend..but def not for the little ones.

In other words, if you spend most of your vacation in Fantasyland..Quest is not for you.
