Hi all you DIS veterans- I need help. We are going in a month and we booked the spring package including the waterparks and more. Can anyone give me some info about Disney Quest? I have 3 DS (ages 10, 8 and 3). I thought maybe I should try it for the older 2. Any info would be great :wave2: :listen:

Your older two, if they like game boys/electronic games, will LOVE it -- it would be a real treat and perhaps a way to build/encourage their patience if there are times they have to deal with doing things around the little one. There are 3 or 4 floors of interactive electronic games -- virtual roller coaster, virtual river rafts ride, virtual Pirates of Caribbean, and lots of arcade-style games. Really a blast.

Is there any way you can see or find out what the waits/lines are like before going in? I'd hate to use a plus to get in only to see that the lines are crazy long. I don;t mind waiting a few minutes, but I sure don't want to stand in line for 30 minutes or more to do one virtual ride.

We have found that the only way to avoid long waits and big crowds is if you get to DQ right at opening (11:30am). Just like at the parks, you can get a lot done before it gets really crowded. We did this last June and my DS (now 15) had a great time. We managed to do a lot more than ususal as there was little waiting for anything. As the day goes on and the locals show up (during summer anyway) it gets really crazy.
Note that don't even think of doing DQ if it's raining. Everyone will have the same idea.

We went to Disneyquest three times during our last trip. My ds (13) loved it. My dd (11) also liked it, but not as much as her video addicted brother! My husband and I enjoyed it too. One day we arrived at 11:30am and there was no wait for any of the games. Another night we went when Downtown Disney was packed and I feared Disneyquest would be overrun, but it wasn't bad, although it was much buisier than when we arrived at 11:30am. There was a wait that night for the very popular attractions like Pirates of the Carribean. For Pirates, we waited in line about 20 minutes. This is a great virtual game the entire family can play together. Another great family game is the human pinball machine, although your 3 year old is probably too young for this one. The Wonderland Cafe has free internet access. One day my son and I went by ourselves and I sat in the Cafe and played on the internet while he played games.
