Disney Quest worth the time?

We got free vouchers with our package. They must be desperate. Is it even worth the time?

It depends ... on whether you are into video games and similar entertainent.

Disney is not desperate. Those coupons are a teaser. There are only two so if you have a larger party, the rest have to buy real admission tickets. If you get hooked and get water park fun for more DQ visits, the coupons' value towards your vacation drops to zero because the WPF is redundant with the DQ coupons.

Free is......well, FREE. I say go for it.

We would have to pay 75.00 for 2 more tickets for our larger family (2 rooms = 4 free tickets, but we need 6). After reading reviews about it on travel sites, we decided we'd let our teens go in if they want to check it out with dad.....me and the youngest one will venture around DTD, shopping and checking out the food offerings. I'm not in to video games, and a couple of the 'popular' attractions have a height requirement of 51" which my youngest wouldn't reach anyway.

You have to pay admission just to get in? I thought it was like a large arcade where you could walk around and choose how to spend your money on what games you wanted to play. Is it free once inside for everything is you have to pay separate admission for each person to get in?

It's free unless you want to play games that offer prizes, like the ones that have those ticket redemption things.

You pay to get in and every game is on free play. I don't know of games that have tickets to redeem for prizes. On the first floor there were some "record your own CD" booths that cost money to take the CD home with you. You could do it and listen to it for "free" though so it was still fun for my daughter to do.

The main "top" rides usually have a line so you have to wait a while to go on them, like the Pirates of the Carribean, Roller Coaster simulator, those biggies. The rest is just floor after floor of Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, etc. and air hockey, skee-ball, basketball arcade, dance games, etc. We had WPF&M so we tried it, but got bored after about an hour. It was fun for DH and I to find really old games from when we were kids but we weren't good enough to play for very long.

I would say it's good for teens who are bored or don't want to shop while parents and younger ones explore DTD. I don't think it's worth a special trip unless there's a real strong love of old timey video games.

Went once. The Genie took us on an elevator ride and then there several floors of Arcade games. One floor had a lot of pay as u go stuff. They had an Alice In Wonderland cafe with free computer and internet. Was very slow though. Great place to get out of the heat.

The last two times we were there...the Genie was gone and it was just a boring elevator ride. That was my favorite part of DQ!

We are big gamers and we love it!! There are no games like call of duty or gears of wars, no M rated game, just good old family fun games but we have tons of fun every time we go. Our favorite game is bumper cars that require 2 people, one drives while the other person shoots balls out of a canon at the other cars.

Went on Christmas day years ago (and it was great, because it was not crowded at all). The virtual reality pirate ride (is it PoTC now?) was *amazing*. My family and I went on that one over and over and over and had the best time.

I'm planning on going during my next trip with kids who will love those kind of games and especially the pirate one...but honestly, would not pay full price if that was my only option. As big fans of games that my kids are, the *free* vouchers make it easier to justify the cost.

DQ is not free, everyone must pay to get in. If you like video games it is a really good time. We have a 10, 8, and 4 year old and they all love it. If we are there a week we will typically visit 2-3 times for an average of 2 hours per visit. My 4 year old loves the motorcycle racing game and will stay there forever. Its nice if its part of your ticket option, I don't know if I would pay $40 to get in.

Yes, if you go in and don't play a single game you still have to pay full admission. It's around $35-40, I believe.

Free is......well, FREE. I say go for it.

But of course it's NOT free. As OP, stated, it takes TIME even though it doesn't take MONEY. That TIME that you SPENT at DQ might be better spent somewhere else...

Are the vouchers transferrable? I'm looking for 4 more for our upcoming trip - and they're so expensive at face value I would be more than willing to pay someone for them

Since you got the tickets, it's good for a rain, shopping at DTD day.... I'd give it a shot for 1/2 a day or evening.......

I wouldn't go out and buy tickets for DQ, not our cup to tea, been in there once... just too crowded to have fun..!

We went once. Im not really into video games, so it wasn't my cup of tea. My hubby loved it though - especially the make your own roller coaster experience. I know he would go again and again, but Id rather spend time elsewhere.
Its really more a matter of opinion.
If you have a free voucher, then it may be a nice break in your vaca to do something not so busy and large.
