Disney Quest-worth the cost?

We will be going the first week in December, and I have added the Water Parks and more option to my tickets. Now that I have seen the park hours, there will only be one water park open during our stay, and I just am not sure if it is worth it. The only thing keeping me hanging on is Disney Quest. But I have no idea what its about. Do you think it is worth it? Thanks!

Just back. Did Disney Quest last Wednesday as a part of our WP & M adder on our base tickets. I was very disappointed and would not recommend it!!
It was disorganized, dirty, busy, etc. We just hated it overall!!

My dh and 2 boys (10 and 7) loved it. They were there from 11 (11:30? whenever opening is) until 7:00. They only left because I called from the resort and chewed dh out for not being back yet. :lmao: For them, the cost was definitely worth it.

I'm not that into video games, and my 4yo daughter wouldn't know how to play them (although I'm sure she'd have fun trying), so for US the cost WASN'T worth it. We took an extra morning at MK to see the faeries and for dd to have tea with Alice.

Whether it's worth it depends on how much you like gaming and the ages in your party.

If you like games (new and old), then yes it is worth it! I took DS19, DD18, and DD'sBFF. We stayed about 6 hours and would have stayed longer but we had dinner ressies to get ready for. We were sooo give out!!! All of us loved it so much. The only thing I didn't care for was it was kind of dark.

MHO not worth the extra cost- unless you're into video gaming- most of the interactive games we found to be pretty lame, the "old fashion "arcade games was ok but I wouldn't waste a whole day there- we killed a few hours one day after spending the day at HS- so glad we had AP's would not pay $45 just to go there:scared1:

If you like video games and arcades then yes. It also depends on the age of any children you are bringing (if any), my DS was 3 last time we went, he liked it, but has never asked to go back. It is geared more towards older kids. As for me and DH, we don't think it is worth it. Also, I've been to Disney in mid-Oct and it was cold, I wouldn't have paid for that WP option, especially in December. But, that's JMHO!

My DH and DSs (11 and 13) went wild over the place in August. :dance3:
I really enjoyed it, too. We went 2 different times and still wanted more.

It is a gigantic place with lots of different rides and games. You can design your own rollercoaster, then ride it!

I'm not that interested in video game type things, but I still had fun. I think that it is worth a try.

Never been, but husband has and does not care for it.

That said 16 year old son and 11 year old nephew could not get enough of it.

We upgrade our pass to the premium because we knew we'd use the water parks and wanted ds9 to try dq. NOT worth the money. DS is a HUGE gamer-can we say nerd? Anyhoo. He had a great time for maybe 2 hours and then he was bored. It's quite large and noisy.

You might want to rethink it because the water parks might be too cold to use. Maybe wait until you get down there to decide.

My opinion; no, absolutely not. We get a 14 day ticket from Disney Store here in the uk, Disney Quest included, but we don't go there at all anymore, it's really just a waste of time for us.

Our family loves quest and no trip is complete wiht out at least 2 visits. We neve go to the water parks and Quest is the only reason we get the WP&M feature.

We are gamers though. If you are not a gamer you will probably not like it.

Wow, what a bunch of different opinions! We will be going to DisneyQuest for the first time over Thanksgiving. I've got 2 DS's - 13 & 7 and they really are looking forward to it. So is DH!!! We're going to CP in the moring for breakfast then we'll head to DQ for the day and then take the boat to Turf Club for dinner. If I don't like it, I'll just head over to DTD for some shopping. I'm really looking forward to it!

I'd love to see the water parks so hopefully it will be warmer than last year! Bummer that TL will be closed as I really wanted my boys to experience snorkeling.

Our kids love Disney Quest they went three times and would have went more if they could have. We let them go there while we do our shopping at Downtown Disney, more enjoyable for all of us. On their last visit they were asked to do a scavenger hunt, they got to go on three rides with no waits, and were asked questions about park rides. At the end they got to pick treasure out of a treasure chest. They had a huge disney bag filled with loot! The $52 for the wpm option is worth it to us, but we go in August not sure if we would use the waterparks in the colder months. You could always wait till you are down there and see what the weather is like before you add the option.

we went to Disney Quest on this last trip, we went in the middle of our trip, so it broke up the week, my son 21 and daughter 13 loved it! They want to make this a permanant part of our trip from now on. 5 floors of games, I will agree it was dirty, they need to close it down for rehab! Some of the games were a little lame, but the kids loved it.
