Is Disney Quest and/or the water parks worth the extra $45 on my 7day Magic My Way tickets? We have 9 and 12 year old children.

Do you have to pay to play the attactions in DQ?

You do not have to pay for the attractions at DQ...just the food and the cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory is to die for.

My DS13 LOVES DQ, so do DH42 and DD11. My family thinks it is worth the money. One day's entrance is around $33 (somewhere in there, don't feel like looking!). The 5 for DS and DH won't be enough.

Be sure to do Make your Own Rollercoaster. Pirates of the Caribbean is fun too. I wish I knew more about the games. I go and eat cheesecake and surf the web upstairs.

I've never done DQ. However, I took quite a few trips to WDW before doing the water parks. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TL. One day I'm going to take an entire trip there!!!! The theming makes it so much more than your typical water park. You truly feel like you are on a tropical island getaway.

We've always gone to the water parks since my DD was 2 and had a blast. She was 9 on our trip last year and we had the best time at TL & BB.

I think you can totally get your money's worth for $45. I love DQ and both waterparks. DQ is nice to go to before lunchtime- it not very crowded and you can get a nice lunch at FoodQuest. They have yummy wraps and burgers and of course the cheesecake. -Steph

:D

I think it's worth it. I'm not a big video game guy, so I've never gone to DQ, but I love both the water parks. I personally prefer Blizzard Beach over Typhoon Lagoon, but both are great water parks with plenty to do. I know there's a new water coaster going up at TL< but I'm not sure when it's supposed to open. Not for a while, I think. Have agreat time, no matter what you choose to do.

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

My boys are 6 and 9 and DQ and the water parks are just as popular to them as the parks!

Supposedy the new water coaster at TL may open when the refurbishment is done. I haven't heard anything else concrete one way or another yet.

Never been to DQ, but Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are worth it!! My kids have a blast there, not your ordinary water park, there's something for every age. Can easily spend the whole day there. One thing to consider, when are you going? We lucked out last week with nice weather, but sometimes Florida in the early months of the year can be a gamble. Might be too cold if you go then.

Our trip is 4/8- 4/16. Never been in April, but from what I've read here and in the UG, I'm thinking the weather will be good for the water parks.

We had never been to the water parks or DQ. We had annual passes but didn't think we would enjoy the extra parks. Anyway, last year we had ultimate park hopper passes that included all the parks. We loved Blizzard beach. Went 3 times. Went to Disney Quest. Five and a half hours later we left. I'm not into arcade games and such, but we loved it. It is one of the many things we are really looking forward to. Our next annual pass will definitely be a premium annual pass.

If you have the extra time I would say yes. We went during off season and ended every other night at DQ. This is the reason my kids still love going to Disney. That and the water parks they can't be beat for the older kids.

These things are a MUST for us! A trip to Disney without Typhoon Lagoon and DQ just wouldn't be the same for us.

My kids are 8 and 12, and they really enjoy this as part of our trip. If the kids were younger then I'd say you could take it or leave it...but at this age they love it!

So the answer for us is ABSOLUTELY!! :D

about how old would you say kids would need to be before they truly have an enjoyable experience at DQ? Do they need to really really be into video game experiences? How hard is it to do some of the activities in there?

It is worth it to go to the water parks, or at least one a trip. However buying the extra is 45 more and entrty to one park isn't that much.

So if you only want to go to one water park, just buy a ticket. If you want to do DQ and one water park or more, go for it.

(We don't do DQ since we have young kids and it isn't that great for them, but for older boys it would be great.) Water parks are good for all ages.

So to sum up. Go to the water parks. If you go to more then one get the add on to tickets. If you only go to go, just buy the ticket yoursefl.

I think this is scheduled to open this May, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm looking forward to it. I love TL. I'm hoping to try BB and DQ on this visit. Definitely worth the $45. HTH :jumping4:

What does anyone think of DQ for our DD4? We also have DS8 and DS10 who would probably love it but I don't know if I want to spend the money for the add-ons for all of us if she wouldn't be able to do much. She wants to do anything and everything her brothers do so it would be easier to just not go. Also, we do plan to do TL (hoping is open by the end of April). Am I right that all of us in the room have to have the same tickets or could I get the add-ons for the guys and not for DD and I? Thanks for any help!!

I also am wondering if DQ is worth going to - I have 2DD ages 2 and 5 and I'm afraid it will be a much older crowd in there. Also not sure about the water parks. I'm sure they'd be fun but are they worth packing up 2 young girls and riding a bus to get there when we can hang out at our resort pool? We are staying in Contemporary Tower in May....Thanks for any input! Trying to decide if it's worth it to add the $45 per ticket to go to the extra places!
