Disney Quest Thread

We went once again for one day back in Dec 2006. It's so sad to see what it has become compared to how things were back in 1999-2001 when they were taking care of the place. It's seriously run down now and nothing like it was back in the early years.

Oh no....We were planning on spending this Saturday afternoon before we drive down to the port for our cruise. We've never been, DS is 9 and loves video games and I though he would enjoy it. Should we reconsider?

My kids LOVE Disney Quest.

We went on a nice, sunny day this past January. It was deserted. The Cast Members said don't even try to go in when it is yucky outside, it will be packed. Also, the evenings get bad.

We were there for opening and all but had the place to ourselves:woohoo:

The Cheese Cake Factory gave us more food than anyone else on the Dining Plan. Three people could be full on meal:eek:

Hmmm..What else. Oh yeah, the Cast Member running the Animation Academy while we were there was very, um, strange. Bossy and quite bold. A woman had to leave her seat, as her DH was saying one of her kids needed her. It was near the end where they were showing everyone's drawing on the screen and he DEMANDED she stay. He was like--"SIT DOWN, please. I am NOT done here!" :scared: At first I thought he was kidding, but he was not. He was so rude, but she gave it right back to him. She was like "Sweetie, I can go when and where I want." Strange and uncomfortable event:rolleyes1

If you can go in the morning, or even in the early afternoon on a nice day when people are in the parks, you should have no problem doing the attractions you want to do.

The problems I was talking about get really bad on a rainy day, or after the parks close, because so many fo the attractions are no where near capacity. Some of the longest lines at Disney with no FP.

It's simply because so many things are broken and they don't seem to have any interest in fixing them. Only half of any given attraction is running for one reason or another. In some cases they simply don't have enough CM's available to speed things up.

I would say it's still fun for a few hours during the times you don't have to wait long for attractions. Sadly even those that are runnign are not running the way they did when they first opened. The Atro Blasters (for example) hardly work anymore and it makes the whole thing more of a chore than a fun game.

I certainly wouldn't pay for it anymore (we had the water parks and more passes, basically getting in for free since we did the water park). Back in '99 I would have said it was worth the full price admission.

We just went Easter Sunday and spent 8 hours there. It was great! We didn't experience any malfunctions with anything, Astro Blaster worked fine for us. The CMs were just as nice and friendly. Food was good too, esp the cheesecake.

We took our girls in 2004. It was so loud and the lines were long. We did go at night, though. We are planning a new trip and our tails are not really wagging over going there again. We just weren't that impressed. We might try it again, but probably not.
