For those that have been, how many times during your trip did you go?

We are trying to decide if its worth getting the DQ/WP option to the tickets or just buying DQ single ticket. We are thinking about going in December, so there will probably be only one WP open and it will probably be too cold to go swimming.

Also how long did you stay in DQ. 1/2 day, all day ect.

Thanks

Ummm...about 10 minutes. :rotfl: We're not big fans of it and it's never been terribly busy when we've been to downtown disney. I thought there were even rumors about it closing down :confused3 I think you'll find there are more worth while things to do on vacation than DQ. If you decide to go, you probably won't find enough to occupy you for 1/2 day. Just my opinion. :rolleyes1

We go once per trip. Im not crazy about video games, but i play a few and go on The Pirates and raft ride. Then im ready to leave! Now my DH, DS9, DS10 love it there and would stay all day if i let them! :sunny:

I love it cause it has the old games like in pinballs and that plus virtual stuff and then a huge floor that is nothing but an arcade where you can win prizes. It also has great food and we usually get there around opening and cover it and are done within two to three hours.

Depends on whether you have kids along. We spent a day there with 2 teens. There was some cool stuff that you definitely don't find at regular arcades, as well as all the old classic stuff. A whole day was far too long - I'm not kidding when I say I was seeing things by the time we left. Personally, a couple of hours would have been enough, but 2 teens had different plans! Next trip, we'll drop them off, and meet up later - no way am I going back in there!

Same as the last poster. About 30 minutes. We bought the Waterpark and more option just for the waterpark. Actually, I didn't even know DQ was included until arrival. We just went for a few minutes before our Cirque De Soile show. It turned into a half hour because we discovered the roller coaster creater. That was great! The next day we ended up just going for about 15 more minutes because it was our day that we were leaving and we decided to do the pirates thing. That was also good. I guess if you enjoy being inside and like doing it, go for it. If you like the waterparks as well, get the option. If you don't plan to do the waterpark, then don't do the options and purchase tickets. That also doesn't constrict you to going and some of the members of your party don't have to do it either. Have fun!

My DH and DS (10) could stay all day. My DSs (7) had a blast for about 2 hours. I was ready to go after 1 hour. It is just too much going on at once and too noisy for me. I guess it depends on the ages in your group. Teenagers and game junkies will be in heaven.

We went twice on our trip, and could have went again. My dd and I could have taken animation class after animation class. She loved it. My dh and ds would have made DQ a permanent residence if it were possible. I guess it just depends on what kind of stuff you like. If you are into playing games etc. Then this will be for you. We stayed 4 hours the first time and 5 the second. Even then I had to almost drag everyone out. Have fun!

I think it depends on how much you like video games and who is going with you. I went with one set of friends and we were there for hours and had a blast. The second time I went it was with a totally different group of friends and they did not like it so we only lasted 2 hours. I think its a neat place to go and I enjoy it but I can see how others would not.
