We're planning to go to Disney Quest one morning, so I'm wondering if we should plan to eat there (can you make a PS for the place run by Cheesecake Factory?) or if we're better off heading elsewhere. Any suggestions?

You have several good places to eat around Downtown Disney and the Disney Marketplace. I'd recommend Wolfgang Puck or Bongo's for a fun and filling meal that's a little out of the ordinary. Fulton's and Portabello Yacht Club, a little further down the strip -- a 10 or 15 minute hike -- are also very good.

The Cheesecake Factory can get crowded and noisy (but, man, I do love their cheesecake!)

You can't make PS's for the Cheesecake Factory eateries, and boy, can it get mobbed at lunchtime.

There are several counters dedicated to different types of food. The Burger counter was absolutely mental, however the others didn't seem to bad. We grabbed a slice of pizza and some scrummy garlic dough balls with next to no wait in line - with a little effort, it's not a problem to get away from the main scrum of eaters and find a quiet(-ish) spot to eat.

So if you want something simple, but other than burgers, it's fine. If you want something a bit more interesting - I'd head out to somewhere else in DD.

I would probably eat right in Downtown Disney. Maybe at Wolfgang Puck's Express for a quick, but very good bite to eat or the Rainforest Cafe. Wolfgang's Express a pretty good rotisserie chicken.

I agree....Wolfgang Puck's Express is great for lunch.
Or if you are interested in CHOCOLATE at all head over to Ghiradelli for a chocolate lunch treat of some kind! ;)

House of Blues is right across from DQ. Their menu is great for either light or filling lunches.

Just dine inside DisneyQuest. Not only do they have the Cheesecake Factory, on one floor, but there is the FoodQuest on another floor that gives you quite a variety of food. DH and I were in DisneyQuest for a few hours one day and we dined at the FoodQuest for lunch and we were quite satisfied. We returned later that evening and did the CheeseCake Factory for dessert and hung out in their little Internet Cafe and played on the computer for a bit. :jester:

I would go to House of Blues, Planet Hollywood or Bongo's. They are the closest to DisneyQuest. All good, all different. Great menus!

Wolfgang Puck's Cafe all the way. Everything we've ordered has been so good!
