Disney Quest - how much time is best?

We are planning to go to Disney Quest one evening after Animal Kingdom. Figure we'll leave AK at around 5, get something to eat CS at Downtown Disney, and then go to Disney Quest. But I'm not sure if I'm planning enough time at DQ. It's open until 10 the night we plan to go. What's a good time to plan to arrive? Is it better to get there earlier, and then take a break for dinner, and then go back? I don't want to leave AK too early. Appreciate any advice! I've never been to DQ.

My husband and I spent about four hours there, without kids. The virtual games were a blast. When we had our 14 and 12 year-old boys, we spent all most six hours. We would have stayed longer but we had dinner reservations. I think it depends on how much your family likes the games.

Well I guess it will depend if the family are big gamers or not. My boys could be there 8 hours if I let them. Leaving AK at 5 and then eating would probably put you at DQ around 6:30/7, leaving 3 hours. There's a lot you can play at DQ and if it's crowded and have to wait to play, then 3 hours probably won't be enough. When are you planning to go? Month? Day?
Your signature says you have a 7 & 5 yr old. They may be too small for some of the games, or games will be hard for them because of size.
The time I took my 7 yr old, he had trouble with some of the games because he wasn't quite tall enough or strong enough to the more physical games.

My signature is old. Lol! My boys are 8 and 6, and both are over the 48" mark. And they really are HUGE gamers - the hubby too! Hmmm.... Maybe I need to rethink this plan.

Last year, DH, myself and 2 friends (all in our late 20s to early 30s) went to DQ in the morning when they opened at 11. We had never been and we were only planning on checking it out and spending maybe 2ish hours inside. We ended up being there almost the entire afternoon...I think the only reason we left is because we were starting to get hungry! :lmao:

There is a TON to do inside including a bunch of virtual rides and almost every video game you can imagine. We are all pretty big gamers, and I would say if your family is the same, you may want to plan for a bit more time to explore the attraction.

Have fun! :dance3:

I would also suggest going during the afternoon/evening on a weekday that has good weather. When it rains, everyone on property wants to spend their time at DQ and it can become a madhouse!

I hate DQ and never go (we have PAP's) but DH and DS8 go at least twice per trip. They usually spend about 2-3 hours there each time. But, because of the PAP's they don't feel the need to spend as much time there. I think they would spend longer if it was their only time going.

I think it solely depends on the kind of people you are. We are two adults in our late 20s, and my fiance is a big gamer. But we thought DQ was a let down. The arcade style games were a little boring after a good 30-45 minutes or so. The virtual reality and Buzz Lightyear "rides" were not impressive. We just didn't think it was anything to write home about. It was also very hot and muggy inside, maybe from all the equipment around and the fact it was 3-4 floors high? Not sure. Either way, we spent about two hours there and don't feel the need to go back.

Is Disney quest good for a 11 year old boy and 10 year old girl?
Should I dedicate a whole day?

Depends how much they are into arcade games. If not then do Buzz Lightyear, jungle cruise, virtual space mountain, drawing class. Then play Skeeball, air hockey etc until bored. I would say 4hrs is usually enough. But you could always go out for fresh air and eat at Wolfgang Puck (best counter service at DTD) and go back in later.
