I have read that there are two Putt-Putt Disney places. I have seen one when just driving around on Disney property, the Christmas one. Are they open all year round? How much does it cost to play? Also, how do you get there? Is there a bus to go there or do you get on another bus that also takes you there? Any info would be greatly appreciated! :thumbsup2

Yes there are two Disney mini golf courses (well..technically four). There is Winter Summerland, near Blizzard Beach (the one you saw). This has two different courses. One is "winter" themed christmas while the other is "summer" (sand, plam trees, etc...)themed christmas. Both courses are 18 holes and feature various Santa and other Holiday related props. For some reason it's hard to explain...lol. I believe it costs about $16.00 per adult to play (about $10 per child, I think, but I'm not sure on the costs) and you can play the second course for half price.
The other course is "Fantasia Gardens" which is an 18 whole themed course which features different scenes from the movie "Fantasia". This location also features "Fantasia Fairways" a 18 hole un-themed course with sand traps, (I've never played it, but have been told it's similar to a normal golf course-just shrunk down-but much more difficult than the other mini golf courses)
Fantasia Gardens is located near the Boardwalk Resort (In the MGM Area)
Parking at both locations is free.
I love going to both, especially for photo ops! So make sure to bring you camera and lots of film (more than you think you'll need-especially if you have kids!)
You can find more information & pictures and updated prices at "allearsnet" just look in the "beyond the parks" section
Hope this helps!

I have played the two in front of the Swan/Dolphin Resorts ( Fantasia Gardens Mini GC ) and if you are a Putter Golf Pro, you will be disappointed. The pro course is too difficult and the character course is too boring. There is a great Pirate Golf in the shopping mall at the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd., the road going into DTD.

We have been to both of them before and probably like the Winter/Summerland the best.

Bus wise, for Winter/Summerland you take the bus to Blizzard Beach and just walk over. It isn't that far. For Fantasia Gardens, get a bus to the Swan and walk across the street. Again the walk isn't that far.

i love miniature golf and is one of the main things i'm looking forward to doing when we're in the world. they both seem like lots of fun and i can't wait to see if i beat my DBF at them both!! i just checked on prices for them and during the day it's $10.75 per adult (not sure if the price changes at night or not, it doesn't specify).. :cloud9:

The fairways course at Fantasia Gardens is far and away the best mini-golf I have ever played. It is a blast if everyone who is playing is pretty competative too. I shot a +3 and even got a hole-in-one (which Im sure everyone within a mile radius could hear my celebration).

Thanks for the great info! :yay: We've never had time to do the little stuff on our trips because we are always running from park to park, so I thought this would be nice to do on our short trip! :) You don't need tickets in advance or anything, right? Are there any pictures anywhere or better info. about the different courses on Disney.com? I couldn't seem to find anything!

That's what Disney told me. Plus tax.

I had to ask on here, because we are Fl. PAP holders and I was thinking ours was cheaper than that. Guess the WDW person who answered my email didn't read mine to them very well.

I asked about a 2nd round, was told 50% off.

I just went to allears.net....great info. and photos too! I honeslty have never heard much about them, so that was great to read! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I just want to make sure! :) So, if I want to play both courses at Winter Summerland I can get the 2nd course 50% off, correct? So, it'll cost a little over $16 for each person to play both courses?

In your opinon...what is the best? Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland?

Yep :) It should cost about $16 if you wanna play both winter summerland courses.

Personally I perfer Winter Summerland, it's newer and seems a bit cleaner and shiney-er :) Plus the decor can make for some great Christmas card photos :)

:rotfl2: I got a hole in one there too! You can't help but to scream and jump because it's so D@MN difficult. :lmao:

I just think it's funny that you call it putt-putt. I had never heard this term before I met my DH2B. We've joked about it a few times!!!

Haha! My DH and I joke about it too! I call it Putt-Putt and he calls it Mianture Golf...I've called it Putt-Putt, since I was little and I can't stop! :rotfl: I like the way it sounds better! :)

I have also been to both and Winter Summerland is definitely the pick if you have small children. Teens and adults will have a good time at either, but Fantasia Gardens is very hard.
