I'm very disappointed... I've been trading for almost a year and I can see the difference in trading..... New Pin came out Yesterday and not many people are trading... So what's the use...

Go on ebay there is about 15 plus Figment Surprise pin being sold by the same person for $45.00 I thought there was a limit..

another person has about 10 of them and selling it for $44.00 no break....

I think it's a shame when I have a pin I want to trade for a HTF one and most of these pins are being sold...

So if we really want the pins we are forced to buy one. for a HIGH price...

Just need to vent.

Been on the boards looking for a trade.. but of course my pins are not worthy... I think I have a good collection that I can make some kinda trade...

O well thanks for reading

Cathy

Your pain is felt far and wide. ;)
There is a post about this same thing on Dizpins.
There are things about this hobby that make it discouraging at times.

Technically the new rules don't take effect until 08/02, if they have any impact then....

The "per day" limitation part of the policy is going to be interesting. If they rely on CMs to recognize guests that they've already sold a pin to, it won't work. That doesn't prevent line hopping, store hopping, or park hopping. In the cases of the mystery pins where they are released in only one location, it might (maybe) just work.

But then what about the guest that insists the CM is wrong, mistakening them for someone else. There's no way for the CM to "prove" the guest already bought 2 of the pin in question.

If they go to swiping/scanning APs or admission tickets, then they could enforce the 2 pin per person "per day" limit. I guess we'll have to wait & see what happens in August.

I haven't seen the new rules yet...is there a post I haven't found that lists them?

Just want to be sure I'm "in the know" when I go in August!

Thanks.

Jan

Check out www.officialdisneypintrading.com I think they have some of it there.

Or you can check www.dizpins.com they posted an open letter from the DLR VP of merchandising, and it included the new policy information. The letter was posted both under the "news" section and on one of the discussion boards (may be in the archived threads by now, not sure).
