I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place or not so Moderators please feel free to move me!

I started training last week for the Disney Princess Half Marathon! That said I haven't ever really run. Unless you count the running they make you do in High School P.E. class, which was almost 10 years ago.

I was looking for other women (or men) that's run the half marathon that started out like me. Words of encouragement or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Head over to the WISH board. There are a whole LOT of DISsers running the Princess. There is a sticky at the top with lots of good info on it and I think theey are keeping a list of DISsers as well.

Wish I was doing it but no money to go right now.

Have fun and good luck:thumbsup2

This is the link for the 2011 Princess Half.

The first time I ran over a mile in my post high school life was in January 2005. I ran my first 5K the next month and my first half in January 2006. If you are willing to put in the time to get in half marathon shape you can do it. It just requires the will. Good luck.

I have run a couple of marathons and now I do half marathons. Ever since my last child, I seem to have a lot less oomph in my running!:lmao: There are some great websites out there, if you google, that basically tell you what to expect and great tips for training and training schedules. I can't remember the name of the one that I loved, but I will try and find it. Good luck to you! You will feel SO great when you have done it!
