Does anyone know how much a princess gown/costume (just the regular one, not the deluxe) would cost at the parks? Any input is appreciated. I called the Disney store at the airport (Orlando) and the manager said they don't carry the gowns there, just the princess tees and the nightgowns. He told me to try the DTD Disney store but he also said the price would be the same as that at MK... Does anyone know what that price would be?

Thanks!

I just bought one last week and they are $65. I think they are about the same quality (marginally better, maybe) as the Disney Store dresses. I think the Disney Store dresses are around $20 cheaper. If I had thought ahead I would have bought the dress at the Disney Store before we left.
We bought the Cinderella dress and she wore it for exactly one day and tons of the silver glitter fell off... so, I'm not sure how long it will stay looking nice.

I just bought a Sleeping Beauty dress at the Disney Store for $39.99 (full price). We plan on bringing it with us because on our last trip the dresses were very expensive at the parks and resorts. $65 sounds about right. You could buy the whole she-bang - dress/shoes/crown- before you go for the same price as just the dress at the parks. Do you have a Disney Store near you?

There is a Disney store here, several actually, but around here, the regular gowns are $49.50 while the deluxe are $99.50 -- plus 13% tax. That's why I have been trying to look elsewhere. I could order from Disney direct and perhaps have it shipped to the resort.

Thanks so much!

When we were there in July we went to the nearby outlets. They had princess outfits... some the SAME as in the parks at $65 for $25-35. They were not in all sizes and it was not the variety you see in the parks. They had the head pieces, shoes, lots of the extras for 50% off, too. Check the outlets first. My DD has chosen a princess dress as her "must have" with every visit to Disney. This time, we were able to spend half the money and get the entire ensemble. Good luck.

It may be the same outlet that the previous person mentioned, but I just got back from Disney 2 weeks ago and we visited the Character Outlet right near Downtown Disney. It is in the outlet mall right off I-4 DTD exit. The items sold there are not Disney Store, they are actually park merchandise that has been discontinued and sent. We were able to get the Jasmine, Cinderella and Belle dresses that were marked $65 from the pard for $31.99! We bought all three. They had many small sizes and larger sized in those. They had Sleeping Beauty and Snow White but did not have the xxs or xs that would fit my little one. The new ones at the park this season are slightly different but I could barely tell. They still had the ones we bought in the window of many of the shops at Disney so they must have just changed out. The Belle one we got is actually fuller and prettier than the one they replaced it with. I would suggest hitting the Character Outlet, it was even cheaper then the not as nice Disney Store dresses!

I would strongly suggest you buy it prior to getting there... We made a trip once with the thought that we could just find one at a walmart or outlet and unfortunately could find none the right size... ended up having to get one from a Disney resort and paid dearly for it... We have had items shipped from Disney.com to the resort before because we waited too late to have it delivered at home. It was there at the front desk when we checked in.... if you do, do it this way you need to contact the resort you'll be staying at to get a physical address and then on the shipping label it needs to also have your name and the check-in date on the label...

Also, if you purchase someting in the amount over $50.00 right now you get$25 bounce back bucks. They are redemable late september- October 7th i think.

I bought a Belle dress before we left from the Disney website. It was around $50 bucks including shipping, so if you have time, that may be cheaper than waiting until you're there. I've also seen some Disney princess dresses at Walmart and Target (some for Halloween, but others in the regular toy area.) I haven't seen Belle though, but definelty have seen Auora, Cinderella and Snow White, and I think they look the same as the Disney ones for the most part.

When we went two summers ago, I had found a 50% off deal through Disney Online. For my two girls, I basically bought one, got one free. The accessories were heavily discounted, too. I paid around $20/$25 per dress...and that was sometime just before Christmas. My girls wore them two different days while at WDW, and a few people asked me where I bought them. One Mom, who was looking at a Snow White dress for her own dd, really liked the one that my oldest dd was wearing.
