Here is a picture our my DD b-day cake. I bought the kit on eBay and then paid someone who decorates cakes to make it for me. The kids LOVED it!!!!! The kit contained 6 different windows with the princesses on them.

ohhhhh I love it & so pretty! Something your daughter will ALWAYS remember! thanks for the photo

just saw this at publix today. however it cost $38 for the cake. I just can't justify spending that much on a cake.

In the end I paid more then that but it was very much worth it. The little girls just loved it! Did the cake at Publix come with the tiara and "birthday princess" sash? I did get about 30 hand decoarted cookies also from the lady who did this cake. My theory was she only turns 3 once, he he!!! Good thing my husband was in Iraq or she may not have gotten all she did for her party. No I am just kidding. I probably did go a little overboard because her father could not be there.

I think it came with both. At least they were both in the display.

Oh I can understand going overboard since you DH can't be there. My DH was only on his 2 week UTA, for DS bday (he tends to be every other yr or so) and I tend to go over a bit. I don't know what I would do if his unit got called up. I guess I'd do like everyone else and find the strength to pull the kids through.

Does he know when he will be coming home?

He is in Iraq for the 2nd time. He will be returning this time in Dec after 9 months. We are not exactly sure when in Dec but we are hoping that it is before Christmas. It should be but I am not sure.

I hope your husband's unit does not get called up. My husband is on active duty and we have at least 10 more year of this in front of us. We make the best of our time together. With the extra pay from the deployments we take Disney Vacations when he gets home!!! That is a plus side to the whole thing.

Of course now I see your countdown LOL....

We keep hearing various rumors through the miltary rumor mill. Right now I would say it is highly unlikely he gets call up. Of course since he only has a few months to go before retirement, they will probably put a freeze on reitring or activate him.

So what brach is you DH in? Mine is in the AF. 6 yrs active duty and 13 1/2 yrs of reserve duty. 8-9 months of that active, but stateside durng Desert Storm.

My husand is in the Marine Corps. He has been in for about 10 or so years now. We like it, it is just hard at times like this. Hopefully yuor husband can just retire!!! I got up at 3:50 am this morning to call disney Dinning to get the Chef's Table at Victoria and Alberts. I got it and I am so happy. He will have missed... Valentines Day, Easter, My daughters birthday, our wedding anniversary, my birthday, his birthday, thanksgiving and will have gotten promoted out there without us. We will be doing lots of celebrating when he gets home!!!

wow you've got a lot of celebrating to do when he gets home. As hard as a military spouse's life can be, I think it gives us an inner strength that is very impowering. It is a good trait to hand down to our children, especially our Daughters.

The cake was beautiful. I'm jealous - I have sons and will never be able to have a princess cake. :p Seriously, I think it looks like it was worth the splurge!

Also, congrats on your PS for Victoria and Alberts at the Chef's table! That is supposed to be an awesome dinner! I've seen it on the Travel Channel and I can't even imagine how special it would be. Enjoy celebrating with your husband!!

December will be here before you know it!
