We have been going to Disney for five years now and have loved every minute of it, this year if we want the DDP which we got free last year the holiday will costs us £450 more than it did for the same holiday that we had last year at ssprings resort, we loved the superior resort so much that we decided to book Old Key West but so disapointed when we saw the prices which are supposed to be SALE PRICES, seems we can go abroad twice in one year for the same price as Disney. Unless the prices come down or we go into a , moderate, then it is Spain for us this year. Disappointed princess Dox

There is a long thread further down the page on the same topic.

I priced up 15 nights at the same resort we have stayed at 3 years running and it is coming up £600 ish more expensive than it did for 18 nights last year. We just have to make our choices. I'm serious Disney fanatic and will skip a holiday one year if need be, but I know what I want and where I want to go so I'm one of the suckers who will pay for it

Welcome to DISboards.

Fortunately for you over the last 5 years Disney have had to heavily discount OKW\SSR plus give free DDP to attract cutomers from the UK. Its been great for us, even hooked me into staying onsite again but as a business Disney have to remove the offer eventually and get back to the rates they want to charge, each year they increase the room rate and remove benefits (just now its only QSDDP)
Full rate for an OKW studio is over £200 per night plus DDP at about £40pp for 3 of us they really want over £300pn yet we have been paying from £80 5 years ago to £117 last year, this year it went up to about £150 which is more than I am willing to pay but it was still a great deal compared to what Disney really want.
If we do go again this summer it will be offsite, I wish we could do OKW again at £80pn but its never going to happen again. I can get free accommodation in Turkey or find package to Spain but I know we won't enjoy it half as much a America, we might go somewhere else in America or try cut costs to Orlando but can't see us going to Europe.
