Disney Priceline Summary Post

Has anyone gotten an All Star hotel for a stay later than June yet? Just curious, thanks!

Called Priceline for a refund for the Nikki Bird and they gave me a FULL refund....yay.

Other than the few people who tried when this all started, I haven't seen anyone attempt to bid for anything past mid-June lately so it's hard to tell if Disney has anything available.

Just thought I'd post a short review of AS mUsic and Amerisuites. We stayed at ASM on Tuesday and Wednesday in bldg 7 all the way in the back, despite being told we were in Calypso when I called in. We enjoyed the big pool, the game room, and enjoyed having a car so we could go places quickly because it was so HOT and I felt sorry for all of the people I saw waiting in the bus lines. Food court was always packed, channel 96 was great for cartoons, Stacy channel wasn't working, and there was no smell of smoke in the air. All in all we enjoyed the hotel as usual.

We stayed at the Amerisuites last night (Thursday) and I have some advice - check out your room before you bring up your luggage. We were first given a room directly accross from the elevator. NOT COOL! There are 6 floors, rooms from 01 to 30 something. rooms in the center (I.E. 215, 216, 217, 218) are right across or next to the elvevator. Rooms 101, 301, and 501 are next to the stair case and the ice machine. We were first offered a room on the 4th floor by the elevator and I passed, then we were given 201, and I won't stay next to the emergency stairs on a low floor because of the banging sounds all night, then I said don't you have a room ending in 08 or 26 and I got 608. We had a great view of the pools and it was relatively quiet. No power flushes, just a high pitched whine occasionally. Of course, the AC sound drowned it all out!

Be aware that some of the rooms have the room number written on the wall instad of on a plaque, the beds are very hard and thin, the air conditioning units are really really loud, and you will need dish soap if you plan on using the dishes in the suite. I thought the free breakfast was ok - hours were from 7 am to 10 am and people were all over it. The bagel was good. There was coffee, milk, juices, yogurt, 3 cereals, bagels, toast, english muffins, and waffles and french toast all for the toaster or microwave. All in all the place needs some help in renovation and repair, but it was clean and full of people.

I don't think I'd stay here again on purpose but my DS5 loved it - the pool area was great with live music and there is a pool bar and it was zero depth entry with a water slide, and we played minature golf twice. Paying the $47 on priceline was a good price I guess.

Just a heads up, they are totally packed on the weekends in the near future, and the elevators get filled up realy quickly in the morning with people going to get the food. If you have a bunch of luggage you may want to take the up elevator and take a trip instead of waiting forever on your floor.

Thanks for the review... I'm thinking of trying to bid for a room in July, but want to wait a little bit longer to see if anyone reports getting the All-Stars for our time frame. Sounds like it won't be too bad if we have to settle for AmeriSuites... thanks again!

Hello to all
I am new to this web page and finding it very interesting, I went on to "biddingfortravel" as suggested but got the feeling that I cant bid if not American ( I am English) is this correct?
I have 14 weeks till my next trip which will be my 12th visit to Orlando, tried California and Paris but they dont compare, the magic is missing for me.

If you are intent on staying in a Disney resort, I'm afraid priceline is unlikely to bring success---these resorts have not shown up on priceline for quite some time now.

If you could accept an offsite stay, though, priceline can give you some very good deals. I'm not sure what the residency requirements are.
