So last August I upgraded to the Disney Premier Visa and March 1st I was charged the annual $49 fee. I called and they said yep it's not free for a full year as they are allowed to charge the annual fee 120 days before the annual anniversary date. Not that it's a big deal but if anybody is considering cancelling just a heads up that you need to do it 120 days ahead of your enrollment anniversary.

When I upgraded to the premier Disney visa, it was well documented that the $49 fee would be charged the 1st year. It hit my account about 4 months after the upgrade date. The fee is small in comparison to the amount of extra disney dollars that I have received. At least in my case, the credit card was not supposed to be free.

my deal was no annual fee for one year but it was more like 8 months free.

That makes no sense that they charge it four months early.
One month early maybe but four months?!?!

I'm not sure how successfully :scratchin this might work, but I overheard someone at work last week call their credit card company, telling them that he is just not paying the annual fee and (quite bluntly) could not imagine that anyone would.

He had apparently held that particular card for many years and uses it a lot. He had to talk with a couple of different people, but they did forgive his annual fee. Apparently he has to call them every year for this same reason.
