We're going to sign up, but Discover has 5% on gas right now so we're going to wait and upgrade our Disney visa right before the April 30th deadline for the extra 5% for 3 months.

A bit off topic, but how do you get the normal disney visa to say DVC Member? My mom has a card, and she owns DVC. I have my own card, can I get DVC on it?

I think you just call Chase and ask them to put it on there. you might need to give your membership number.

I upgraded to the card Wednesday evening and here we are on Friday morning with the account showing it's already upgraded! Woohoo!
I was just about to preorder our PhotoPass CD for our upcoming trip - hopefully it counts towards the 5%.

Log on to your Chase account and go down to the credit card section. Click on "Disney Rewards Program". Scroll down that page a bit and you will see a section called "Rewards Program Details". If the first sentence says Premier and talks about earning 2% then your card has been upgraded.

I just wanted to say I got my card and it's so cute. I've already gotten a couple of compliments on it and the back is downright adorable (I'm referring to the Sorcerer Mickey card). Love it!

I upgraded online originally (1/25), but then someone posted that online upgrades would take approximately 20 days while calling to upgrade only took 3-5 days. I called to do the upgrade on 2/3 and got my cards a couple of days ago.

A little OT and this is a question I should already know since we have had the regular card a long, long time (charter members).....

But can we use our rewards to buy Disney gift cards at WDW. And if so, where? We always have around $500 in reward dollars, so all four of us get to use $100 of it for souvenirs. And we use the other $100 toward something else, like toward the sunrise safari or a meal. But it's extra work to keep track of how much each of us has left of our allotted $100. Getting four $100 gift cards sure would make it easier to keep track of.....can you buy gift cards with the rewards card.

Oh, and DH called and upgraded yesterday. We're both getting the Sorcerer Mickey!

Why don't you just get your gift cards prior to your trip? If you go to www.disneystore.com , you can order the cards and get free shipping. Also, since you upgraded to the new Premier card, you get 5% back in rewards for 90 days on purchases from the Disney Store. I would order them when your card arrives.
