Hi everyone.. Just wondering how much Disney postcards usually are? Also can you buy them at a Walmart or something instead of only at the parks??
Just trying to figure out how much we will us on postcards, also want to bring stamps for them from home too.
Thanks.

Disney (obviously) carries the most variety of postcards, but you can also purchase Disney Postcards at the Walmart: The Super-Walmart down in Florida had an entire section dedicated just to Disney. It carries post cards, mugs, shirts, and other items.
There are also many other tourist shops that sell Disney items/postcards.
Hope I was of some help!

I think you asked about costs too. Regular sized/pictured postcards are $.60. The larger, shaped or glittery ones are $2.00.

I just got back and the above poster is right, they are $.60 each for plain/regular and they really didn't have a great selection. I thought $.60 each was high! Seemed most were the $2 ones (which I didn't want to buy, I had to mail 14 cards!)

Would be much cheaper to just buy them at Walmart or Target and mail them from the Disney hotel. (postmark)

Thanks.. Was this at a park at Disney then?? Or were they 60 cents at the super Walmart that a pp had mentioned?? I am hoping that the Walmart will be cheaper???
Thanks, we also have allot to mail, so can't afford the 60 cents a crack.
Thanks

They were $.60 a piece at Disney (or at least at the All Stars gift shop). That was for the basic ones (like I wanted) but it seemed like they didn't have many of those, lots of more expensive ones of course! :)

Thanks, I think we will hit super Walmart like the pp mentioned, maybe they will be a little bit cheaper?? Hope so!

You can buy postcards in any resort gift shop or many of the shops in the parks. I have purchased my stamps at the POP gift shop, then I walk over to the mailbox in the POP lobby to mail my postcards.

POP sells (I think it's a 10 pack) of postcards, all different pictures, for about $4.00. That makes each card .40 cents.

If you have a car and are out and about, without having to go as far as the Super Wal-Mart (Super Target on 192 also has a big Disney section) - there is a "shopping center" on the corner of RT 536 and RT 535 (across from the Caribe Royale hotel - big pink building with waterfall out front....) that has a CVS and a small gift shop. I absolutely LOVE the CVS for Disney stuff. They They have postcards (a great selection of Disney and general FL), pens, autograph books, shirts, and a many other Disney items. The other gift shop has a multitude of souveniers - including Disney things.

I always find a reason to stop in the CVS on our way into the parks!

Have a great trip.

:wizard: Last year I was able to buy a book of I think 20 Disney postcards with stamps through USPS.com for about $10. I thought it was a great deal. You might even check your local post offices because they might sell them right there. There were about 4-5 different designs...vintage looking Bambi, Pinocchio, Mickey, etc. They were very cute! HTH :wave2: Rebecca

They have these sticky things that go on the backs of pictures to turn pics into postcards. The back of it is basically what the back of a postcard looks like. We get these at home before we go and write out the address part, & put a stamp on them. Then when you take a picture you like go over to Walgreens or CVS and print out some 4x6 photos.. (about .29 cents.) slap the sticky postcard thing on the back and "whella" :wizard: you have your own personalized postcard...
Whats great about this is that you can put the addresses on them & stamp them before you leave the house.

You can also send e-postcards from the World of Imagination in EPCOT. DH and I always take a silly picture of ourselves at the computer stand, morph it (add flowers, sayings, whatever) and then email to friends and family at home. Fast and free!

Wait untill April is over then order your post cards from the the post office!
The next series in the Art of Disney stamps is due out at the end of the month. This years them is Romance. Featureing Mickey & Minnie, Cindy and Charming, Belle and Beast, Lady and Tramp. Last year and the year before when they released the stamp collection they also sold a set of post cards pre stamped for a very good price. It was $9.75 for 20 card postage included! I don't think you will find a better deal than this, although I expect the price will go up slightly from last year because postage has increased from .23 to .25 for card postage.
If your local post office doesn't have have them or get them buy them online from www.usps.com
