Hi everyone, I will be going to the pop in late October, and I had a question-

Has anyone, or does anyone know if the TVs at the Pop allow you to hook up an Apple TV, or Nintendo Switch so that you can use Netflix or other streaming apps?

Some hotels lock their TVs, and some just let you plug in your HDMI cord and let you use your own streaming services.

Thanks for your input!

Haven’t stayed at POP in a while but BWI, Cabins at FW we have been able to hook up the Xbox and stream as well as play games online.

It's so weird how some hotels block it, and some don't. I don't see why they would care! Streaming services should just come pre-packaged on hotel tvs these days, I haven't had or cared for cable in a long while.

Atleast let us use airplay so that I can just stream from my iPhone/iPad straight to the TV :3

That's not really the point, or helpful. After a day of running around a hot sunny amusement park in Florida, by the time you get back to your room and it's late sometimes you just want to watch something to unwind. But thank you for the recommendation.

Besides, entertaining kids during down time, having netflix or a super mario game to occupy them is a godsend.

My guess is most of the hotels don't have or don't want to pay for the bandwidth to support that much streaming.

I know the TVs at all the resorts allow screen casting to stream from your own device - some of the TVs make it easier than others, but all have definitely allowed it. I think in the past we've connected our device to the TV via a cable directly, but I couldn't say for sure. I would think it's not blocked on Disney TVs.

This, I will say that the times we have hooked up the Xbox we have not used Disney WIFI which is spotty at best in the resort. We've always just hooked up via a Hotspot.

A couple weeks ago, I plugged my Fire Stick into the HDMI port to stream some new tv episodes/Disney movies, and it worked like a charm!!
