Last night I went to my local walmart and found Pook-a-Looz in one asle, they where in this cardboard box and they had on design that hasn't been realsed yet (cinderella), the group had Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pooh, Grumpy, and Cindy in it, and they only costed 12 (I went with Mickey and Donald).

Is Disney going to release other pook-a-looz in waves? (hopefully Goofy and Chesire Cat will be wave 2) Or are they going to make some of the pooks Disney Parks/Store excuslives? (NBC and Muppet characters)

Im liking this idea of making them available outside the parks :lovestruc .

I know what you're talking about, I found them at the walmart I work at the other day when I was looking for something else. The next day I took my hubby with me & he bought me Mickey as a late bday gift (he had to work on my bday & didn't have money until payday). I wish they had Tinkerbell, but maybe they will later? In the mean time, I plan on buying the ones I can get, they are just too darn cute! Even Oogie Boogie, who I normally dislike (a live sack of bugs is beyond creepy!), but in pook-a-looz form, even he is cute! :wizard:

To me they look like my dog's plush chew toys. Only the squeaker is missing. :lmao:

The first place I saw the Pook-a-looz was at our local disney store when they first came out, so I don't think they started selling them only in the parks. At about the same time they came out I got an email from the online disney store about them, so it was at the beginning.
I wouldn't want them at Walmart though. I"m not a big fan of the store and special Disney products just don't belong there.

Ok, I must be behind the times!:goodvibes, what are Pookalooz's?

Actually, to start, they weren't in the parks at all. Some are going to be sold as "park exclusives" (yeti, sorcerer mickey, and figment are rumored).

we don't have TDS here. but their being there doesn't bother me. i just don't want to see them everywhere generic. they lose their appeal if i can get them anywhere, most especially walmart. does that make sense? :)

Okay I went to Walmart tonight and I saw the Pook-a-Looz there and- they're different. The Pooh is brighter than the one originally released in the Disney Store and doesn't have his name embroidered on his shirt. Minnie in the pink skirt is completely different(done like Steamboat Minnie but in the other clothing). Are these knock-offs? Or is Disney selling Walmart a different version? I mean, they're okay, but I think the ones at the Disney Store are much cuter.:confused3

The disney store in our area, Braintree, MA is selling all theirs at $5.99. Not sure if they will be making more in they are on clearance.

I asked the lady at my Disney store today because the ones here were on clearance too. She said they are now going to be exclusives for the theme parks and the new "imagination park"(or whatever they're called) stores that are coming out.

i was actually disappointed to see them at walmart. i liked more that they were something special from the parks. :confused3

It's still like that with most of the Pook-a-Looz, only a select few are being sold @ walmart or toys-r-us, and even then they mostly sell the same as the other store. So most of them are still special. :)

Ah, yeah, I can see that. It's just nice for me to get a collection started bc I would have to drive to the middle of another state to get to a TDS, nor have my hubby & I had the money to go to the parks. :( But I can understand not wanting to see them everywhere.
