Last I remember they were around $8, prices may have gone up. I would recommend The Dollar Store and bring them with you. If you insist on getting them in the parks, they have them in most stores.

We thought the Dollar ones were awful. They are very thin and the hood doesn't stay on well. if its windy, they are so thin they blow all over. If you get a Disney one, they are much heavier and if they rip you can trade it in for a replacement.

We bought ours in AK in 1999 and they are STILL in great condition! We bring them along for every trip and use them on camping trips too. Well worth whatever they cost today IMHO. I do bring the dollar store ones as a backup for putting over the stroller if there is a surprise thunderstorm but those are definitely use once and then throw them away.

I stick with the Disney ones. Bring a zip lock bag to use to store them before and after the rain. It helps to compress them. If you have kids getting a raincoat at the Walmart ahead if time works better because it is hard to identify kids when everyone looks the same, plus they fit better.

We usually bring both the disposable ponchos and disney ponchos. On days that it doesn't look like rain we carry the disposables because they are lighter and less bulky. On rainy days we bring the Disney ones because they work better. The dollar store ones have really become poor quality lately so now I only buy at Walmart or Target.

They did it for us last August at Epcot. I haven't read that they have stopped since then.

I bought a couple cheap ones which will work fine for a wet ride (if it's cold in Dec) but I wouldn't want to wear them for any length of time. They are thin, uncomfortable, and feel like they would tear easily in any kind of wind, they literally feel like trash bag material. If it's raining while I'm there I'm definitely getting a Disney one.

Agree with you about the Dollar Store ponchos and will add:

- they are not long enough (come only to the waist) so your pants/shorts get soaked
- they do not cover your arms so your sleeves get soaked
- they rip so you get even more soaked

We were the in June 2012 and they replaced my ripped one for free. We were at the animal kingdom that day and it was at a little cart on a path

Yes, pretty much everywhere If it's not raining they'll be behind the cash registers, but all you have to do is ask.

I bring dollarstore ones but this thread has convinced me to purchase an adult one for myself. I have a child's one I purchased for my DN 10 years ago and now my DD wears it.

Exactly our experience! My husbands shorts got SOAKED because they were not long enough. It was definitely worth it to us to buy the Disney ones. But I agree with an earlier post-- we bring rain coats for the kids so they're easier to spot
