Disney Playhouse Live- need to rush for tickets??

We are heading to WDW for our 3 yr olds first time and don't want to miss the Playhouse Disney Live on Tour show at MGM in Sept. I read on one of the websites that tickets are first come first serve. Does anyone know if we need to run to the ticket booth (or wherever you get them) as soon as MGM opens that day?? He LOVES the tv shows so much I really don't want to miss it!!

I'd do it just to be safe. Last year we went when Dan Zanes was there, and I ran to the ticket people...I was like one of the first, and when we showed up for the show they were still giving a way tickets, so I didn't have to rush...but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

If you are going for more popular acts like the Doodlebops, Johnny and the Sprites and Imagination Movers, I would rush for them. We were there last year and saw Ralphs World and Im glad we ushed for them. Got front row seating.

Where do you get the tickets from? When you enter MGM?

I thought Playhouse Disney in MGM was like any other show there. Meaning you wait in line @ the time it starts. If this isn't the case, can you guys fill me in. I know my DD4 wants to see this. How do you know who is performimg? I thought it was always Bear in the Big Blue House & the others.

These guys are talking about the special concerts that are a part of the Little Ones Travel Time in Sept & Oct (not sure, maybe late August, too?). You can find out more about who and what on the disney website, of course. I'll try to find the link and then post it here for ya

Where do you go for the tickets?

We will be there when the Doodlebops are there and I would love to know where I need to go to get the tickets. My dd's definitely want to see them!

Last year, they were at a desk right outside of the building where the event was held. We ran right away (for Johnny and the Sprites) and completely had our choice of times. I heard that for the more popular shows (like the Wiggles) I heard that people lined up for hours. I didn't see any of that.

We will be there for both weekends of choo choo soul and until dh's work schedule changed we were going to see ralphs world too.


You can get the tickets in the RnR courtyard area. Keep in mind they also have a stand by line that after everyone enters w/ tics/fastpasses they let some people in. We did this last year w/ mickey's magic show and we had better seats then some people who got tickets for it.

Dh showed up at 6am to wait for tickets last year...bu tthat was for the wiggles
By the time we got to the show (our tix were first show, secction a, we were 1 row from the stage, tickets for all shows had been distributed already. I beleive, though dont hold me to this, that our show was a t 10am.
As an aside, we got lucky...we found out from others that in later shows, the A section was closed..some family kept sending their 8-10 yo up to the stage DURING the concert when we were there, enough that it interrupted the show a bit, I am guessing this is why they closed off the floor for the rest of the shows!
