Disney Platinum Package Questions

Hi,

My wife and I are going to disney in October and we have booked the Platinum package, but I had a few questions that I was hoping someone may know the answer to

With the Platinum package you get "Itinerary Planning." But according to Disney's own site they don't send out the planning material's until 30-45 days before your arrival... I was wondering how this planning material is beneficial if all of the popular items must be booked within a few minutes of your reservation hitting the 90 day mark? Or, does Disney save spaces for people on the Platinum plan so when they book using their itinerary planner 30-45 days in advance they can still get seating?

One of the main reasons we chose the platinum plan was for the convienence of not having to fight the phone-lines to get seatings on the cruises, Cinderella's Castle, etc. Am I just dreaming?

In October? I don't think you need to worry much. June, July, xmas, spring break - you need to worry.

I haven't seen anyone on here talk about the platinum. I've got the silver for my next trip and people say I'm making a mistake with that. Look at allearsnet.com and mousesavers.com for a clarification of what you get. Hope you got concierge with that.

And always start all conversations with cm's, "I'm on the platinum plan."

Every so often I call one of the Disney numbers with a question. I swear just telling them I'm on the silver makes the people answering the phone nicer.
