Disney Pins

I saw some at the DS at Square One in Mississauga a couple of weeks ago.

The Canadian Disney Stores only sell a token amount of different pins (you can count them on one hand). They do not sell the pns you see at the parks, and they are not cheap. The only way to get trading pins around here is attend one of the local pin meets (held twice yearly in Toronto) and trade with other pin traders. The other way is to buy them on one of the auction sites. Are you planning on trading on your next trip or are you looking to add to your collection ?

Sorry, just noticed that your from Nova Scotia, the reference to Toronto will not help you much then.

Thanks for your help. I just thought I'd pick up a few for stocking stuffers, but I guess I'll have to wait for our next trip!

I just picked up a nice mickey head shaped canada flag at the Disney Store in Winnipeg. It was $7.50 CND I think, and they only had three. A santa Mickey, the Canada flag, and Cinderella's carriage. The carriage was $8.50 I think. I had bought the Santa one before and was wearing it on my coat. I noticed it had fallen off and was worried it was lost, but it just fell inside my van, so I just have to find a new backing for it and I'm away again!

We got some on teh 10th in Hamilton after being in Mississauga for a competition for my oldest daughter they only had pooh pins nothing else but they were buy 1 get 1 free.

We just bought our boys each a Santa Mickey pin ($7.50 cdn) and a 4 pin set of Mickey, minnie, donald (I think) and Pluto for $19.50Cdn from the Disney store in Hamilton. Didn't think the prices were too bad compared to the prices in Disney. got them for their stockings for trading next October. Also managed to find about 8 of the pins in the energizer batteries at our grocery store and toys R us.

Will there be a pin meet in Southern Ontario any time soon? Over the years I picked up a few pins here and there but after this last trip, I went crazy and decided to actually actively collect. There's only so many t-shirts you can buy and pins are so much easier to pack!! :rotfl2: I'm now browsing Ebay for bargains.

Wanted to add that if you'll be in Orlando anytime soon, the Character Warehouse stores have Disney Auction pins for $3.99 each. I bought more than a few. :rotfl: (And met some fellow Canucks searching through the bins too!)
