what is the deal with disney pins and lanyards? is this something that is still going on, something my almost 4 year old would be interested in or should i stick with pressed pennies (she is obssessed with them where ever we go) and autographs
Im new at pin trading too. I do have a lanyard with about 14 pins on it and it is very heavy. I dont think its something that a 4 year old would enjoy. I have a 5 year old and I know she wouldnt want to carry something that heavy around her neck.....
My nephews both 4 at the time went to disney and loved trading pins. We only put a few pins at a time on the lanyard and 1 of my nephews had all his pins on a base ball hat.
It really help to pass the time waiting in lines, at the hotel or shopping.
My 3 year old daughter also loves it. Plus, there are certain cast members who will only trade with kids. it depends on the color of the lanyard. I can't remember which color.
If you can get away with it I would stick to pressed pennys. They are cheaper. Pin trading is an expensive addicting habit. I know because I have one. Hi I'm Shannan and I'm a pinaholic.
I agree about pennies. We are pinaholics too. We will probably turn our son into one as well, but we think we have a few years to go seeing as he's not quite 11 months...although he was playing with a empty lanyard this afternoon....Pressed pennies are lighter too, keep that in mind when someone is going to be carrying things around!!
My dd's love pin trading. This will be dd4 (5 when we get there!) first time truly trading. She did a little trading last year but she is really looking forward to it this year! She already has about 10 pins! DD13 loves to pin trade. I may make her a bag/lanyard so it is easier to carry.
