Yeah - I agree. I'm not a fan of *in the dark* dining either. But it did offer some pretty cool photo ops. :) Unless someone I'm with really wants to go there - I doubt I'd go back. I also thought the food was just OK. Although that's how I feel about most the food in WDW. I guess I'm just not big on dining all together. As a vegan, there's never hardly anything for me to choose from anyway at most restaurants. Asian (specifically Indian) and sometimes Italian being the exception. I'd rather spend more time on the attractions, personally - and less time dining.

....I'm surprised that you've never tried Boma....:confused3

First, let me say I LOVE seeing everyone's pictures - they're all so great -- it's helping me keep hold of the Magic since me trip to The World a couple of weeks ago.
I'm not the best photographer, this is my first picture post, so be gentle! Sorry for the size - if this works I'll have to figure out how to reduce it!

This is one of my favorites things in all The World - makes me teary every time I see it. (Ignore the date - my camera wasn't set right - it was taken 9/4/07)

WOW! I don't know if I ever heard that before! Someone who puts dining at the bottom of the "things to do" list at WDW. :woohoo: :woohoo: hi there, me too! I too want to have fun and walk around, ride and play. Eating takes up too much time and oh how I DISLIKE to have a ressie somewhere, I don't wanna plan that, I just want to go go go. HE HE HE just had to state that. I do have the dining plan for this trip because my MIL likes it... but I am sure to be calling and changing ressies the day of, you can never tell where we will be what day. I just am where I am, ya know. :lmao: Glad I can feel like there are more of me out there ;)

I've never even been over to the AKL. I need to get over there some time. I think I had ADRs there one time but never made it.

I looked at the menu on allearsnet and it looks pretty vegetarian friendly... this looks especially appetizing:

Avocado, Grapefruit, Papaya, Curry Cucumber Salad, Spinach and Beet Salad
...although I can't figure out if that's one big salad or what :confused3

Thanks for the suggestion though!

Yeah - I know what you mean. Too bad you can't just walk into any restaurant at any time and sit down and eat. When I try to make ADRs it feels like I'm planning my entire trip around where and when I'm eating... Besides, I usually only get down there for 3 or 4 days at a time so I tend to spend every waking hour in the parks. There's a whole list of things I want to do (eventually) outside the parks, like even just resort hopping, but I can never seem to find the time to do them. I guess I just like the rides and attractions too much...

Ahh yes the good old days!!!! I remeber years ago (before Free Dining Plans), you could visit the parks during September/October and just walk up to ANY restaurant (with the exception of maybe CRT) and get a table.

I really miss that about our trips now. So we just eat CS or snacks and walk around the parks instead.

I refuse to make Dining plans, who knows what I will be hungry for months in advance.

Eek I'm running out of pictures. 11 more sleeps and I'm back to get more pictures!!

I thought that the food was pretty good here (as well as the great atmosphere!), but it was a little too dark to see what the h*ck I was eating....:guilty:

I like the Sci-fi too :thumbsup2 Though I have read several reviews of it on the DIS that weren't too flattering , we have always enjoyed it.

In January 2002 on our honeymoon trip we walked up to Le Cellier ( we had never been there before) and the place was pretty empty.....now you read about people who can't get a ADR/PS there 6 months in advance :sad2:

Stitch bowling with some kids at the Yacht Club this August.

Somebody (Maybe you) started a thread asking about this not long ago. Was that a regularly scheduled event, or did you just walk up and see it? My kids would LOVE playtime with the characters.
