I finally figured out the picture doesn't have to be from TODAY... duh... just A day from WDW... here is my first POTD!

Well i basically edited a picture, playing around with contrast, Saturation etc.
I just like the clouds in the background pity about the wire from the tower, kinda ruins it :S

Ed- Wow. Stunning photograph- among the best I have seen on here. Looks great on my work laptop- I cant wait so see it at home on a decent monitor.

I love the "magic fountain" at Epcot. I once videotaped the entire "performance" at dusk and still enjoy watching it. Very soothing to an old man's jangled nerves!

Thanks for the compliment. Just proves that perceptions vary widely. I thought, after I posted this, "What a lousy picture that is...I've seen MUCH better dusk photos of WS". Really.

I agree with Jeff. This is a beautiful silhouette picture.

True silhouettes can be a challenge and are usually not done all that well. This "Disney silhouette," however, is done quite well! Love it!

Jeff, I love that picture of your girls on the teacups! Very cool!

What wire?

I hope you don't mind the edit. Just trying to show what a little post processing editing can do. This was done in Microsoft's Digital Image Suite, by the way, which unfortunately is a discountinued product at this point.

Joe Thank you. This thread is so big that i missed your reply, sorry. I ended up buying the tz3 as i got a really good deal that i couldnt pass up. Think it is gonna take some getting used to as all the settings on it can be altered, and ive never done this before. ISO, shutter speed, image stabilisation, everything! Think i will have to get a book to read up on before i go to WDW.

Awesome! Hope you like it... One thing you might try doing when you get some free time... search the web for digital camera forums and you're likely to find a thread or an entire forum perhaps dedicated to your camera. These can be a great resource. I learned a lot about my camera this way. It helped me tremendously. Sometimes the users manuals can be slightly less than helpful...

And I see that your going on a Disney cruise! Lucky you I dont go till next May. I hope you decide to share some of those pictures here.

Yeah, it's our first cruise so I can't wait! -- Darn, would have been cool to meet up with a fellow Dis photog(er)...!

I really mucked up the original of this shot - I had my camera on the wrong setting and everything got overexposed. But it's amazing what a little photo editing can do to save it. Just one click and the colors magically disappear! I kinda like the way this looks, anyway.
