How do I go about getting a photog scheduled (if I can) for pics around one or two parks for our 20th anniversary? And maybe in front of some resort Christmas trees? I'd like to get some professional pics with DH and I in our bride and groom ears, no wedding attire or anything. I'm assuming the photog has to be a Disney one, and that is fine. Does everybody like the Disney photogs?

Hi Papillon, Congrats on your 20th anniversary.
You only need to hire a Disney photographer if you want Pics in any of the parks. With that being said, you can only choose one park. You will receive 20 4x6 prints in a leather bound album. I think you also receive the rest of your proofs as well, (you'll have to check on that) As of 2004, the price was $295 and does not include Park admission.
You may also do this photo shoot at one of the resorts as well and you will get the same thing.
However, if you choose to do the photo shoot at one of the resorts, you may get more for your money if you look for an outside photographer. I would reccomend Randy Chapman. Several ladies have used him for wedding pictures and they turned out wonderful.
If you do choose to go with Disney, I would strongly suggest making a list of the shots that you want. Maybe scope out the locations ahead of time. (My experience with Disney photography has been that they want to put their time in and then leave, Now that was just MY photographer, I am sure there are others out there that are different)
To set something up with Disney, you can call Stephanie Sharpe at (407) 827-1578
or you can email her at Stephanie.m.sharpe@disney.com

Hope that helps and let us know what you choose.

Thanks, Mernadab4. I started thinking about multiple parks after I posted, and realized how hard that would be. So, if I get the pics at a resort, I can hire an outside photog? Interesting. I would have to buy him a park ticket, wouldn't I? But then, theoretically, I could get pics in front of all of the Christmas trees in WDW! I've just started down this path, so I don't know what I'll do. On the other hand, if I get a Disney photog, can I have our pic taken in Tony's, at our anniversary dinner? Each question leads to 10 more!:p

I think you might be misunderstanding...MerandaB said resort. What is meant by resort is the hotels, not the parks. If they were taking pictures in the hotels, they wouldn't need a park ticket.

HTH.

You are right. We always stay onsite, so I have the resorts and the parks linked together in my head. I keep forgetting that you don't need a ticket to get to the resorts. Thanks for clearing that up!:)

I know that Gifts Of a Lifetime works very closely with Disney, so they may be the only ones that can take pictures in the park. Other that that, Non-Disney photographers are allowed inside any of the parks to take professional pictures.

If you choose to go with an outside photographer (non-disney), you will have to do your photo session at one of the resorts (Hotels).

If you choose to go to any of the Park you MUST have a Disney Photographer. And your Disney photographer will have admission to the park, no need to buy him a ticket!

I hope that clears things up a little. I didn't mean to confuse anyone.
